Before the official competition, the teams will attend a technical meeting of the 2025 World Cup Organizing Committee. This is an important meeting for team representatives to raise questions and the Organizing Committee will answer them.
At this tournament, the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team participated with 17 members including: head coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet, coach Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hoa (assistant), Le Thi Hien (assistant), coach Karl Lim (fitness expert) and 13 athletes, missing the main striker Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen. According to the hitter from Vinh Long , she withdrew for personal reasons. This absence certainly affected the Vietnam women's team a lot. Because Bich Tuyen asked to withdraw just one day before the team departed, the coaching board did not have time to add members. However, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet affirmed that the coaching board will have a backup plan, determined to compete with all their might against strong opponents.
13 athletes of the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team participating in the tournament include Hoang Thi Kieu Trinh, Pham Thi Hien, Nguyen Thi Phuong, Doan Thi Lam Oanh, Vo Thi Kim Thoa, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, Nguyen Khanh Dang, Le Thanh Thuy, Nguyen Thi Trinh, Nguyen Thi Uyen, Nguyen Thi Ninh Anh, Vi Thi Nhu Quynh.
The Vietnamese women's volleyball team is currently being provided with accommodation that meets the standards of the Organizing Committee. Currently, the 13 players are in good health and spirits. In Thailand, the entire team will be arranged to practice at the stadium according to the Organizing Committee's schedule with a regulation of three hours/session.
The World Championship takes place in Phuket (Thailand) from August 22 to September 7, bringing together 32 competing teams. The Vietnamese women's volleyball team is in Group G with Poland, Germany and Kenya. The Vietnamese women's volleyball team is ranked 22nd in the world.
