Vietnam U17 women's team suffers heavy defeat against China U17.

(NLĐO) - After 90 minutes of play against China, the Vietnamese U17 women's team suffered a heavy defeat, making their chances of advancing to the next round even more difficult.

Facing the top contender, China U17, the Vietnam U17 women's team, as expected, opted for a defensive approach against an opponent superior in skill, physique, and stamina.

On the field, the game was one-sided as the home team continuously increased the pressure, pushing the ball into the 16-meter box, forcing goalkeeper Cam My and the defense to work at full capacity to protect the goal.

With their superior physical strength, the Chinese U17 women's team exploited aerial situations extremely effectively. In the 16th minute, from a corner kick, Ju Zhitong rose high to head the ball into the net, opening the scoring.

Zhitong herself completed her brace with a close-range tap-in to double the lead in the 32nd minute . Throughout the first half, the Vietnam U17 women's team focused almost entirely on defending and failed to create any notable attacking opportunities.

In the second half, the game didn't change much. Early in the half, Cheng Wandi scored to make it 3-0, again from a set piece. Despite the immense pressure, coach Okiyama Masahiko's players continued to fight hard, limiting further goals conceded.

In the earlier match in the same group, the Thailand U17 women's team won 1-0 against the Myanmar U17 women's team. This result makes the situation in Group A more difficult for the Vietnam U17 women's team.

After two matches, the team only has one point and must win convincingly against Myanmar in the final match to keep their hopes alive of qualifying for the knockout round and aiming for the World Cup.
