V-League rises to top 3 most valuable tournaments in Southeast Asia

Good news came to V-League in the first days of the 2025-2026 season when Vietnam's most prestigious tournament surpassed Malaysia to enter the top 3 tournaments with the highest value in Southeast Asia, according to statistics from transfermark.

According to transfermark, Thai League 1 (16 participating teams) is still the most valuable tournament in Southeast Asia, with a total market value of 76.84 million euros when the 2025-2026 season begins. Indonesia is second (18 participating teams) with a total value of 71.54 million euros.

The V-League, with 14 teams, ranked third with a total value of 53.74 million euros. The Myanmar National League, Cambodia League and Lao League are the tournaments that recorded high growth before the new season.

Also according to transfermark, Nam Dinh FC is in the top 10 most valuable clubs in the AFC Champions League Two 2025-2026. The team from the South has a total value of 9.21 million euros, ranking 9th on the list, alongside famous teams on the continent such as Al-Nassr, Al-Wasl, Gamba Osaka or Pohang Steelers.

This season, Nam Dinh will participate in the AFC Champions League 2025-2026 for the second consecutive time, along with the V-League, National Cup, and Southeast Asian Cup C1, so they have invested heavily in their team. So far, 9 foreign players have joined the team.
