Japanese Yen exchange rate continues to weaken

Japanese Yen exchange rate surveyed on the morning of December 20, 2023 at banks as follows:

At Vietcombank, the buying rate is 163.99 VND/JPY and the selling rate is 175.60 VND/JPY, down 1.93 VND for buying and 2.03 VND for selling. At Vietinbank, the Yen rate decreased 2.57 VND for buying and selling, equivalent to 164.05 VND/JPY and 173.75 VND/JPY. At BIDV, the Japanese Yen rate increased 0.72 VND for buying and 0.74 VND for selling, reaching 157.48 VND/JPY and 165.75 VND/JPY, respectively. At Agribank , the buying and selling rates are 158.80 VND/JPY and 163.74 VND/JPY, up 0.45 VND for buying and 0.48 VND for selling, respectively.

The Japanese Yen exchange rate has weakened continuously.

At Eximbank, the buying rate decreased by 2.39 VND and the selling rate decreased by 2.53 VND, respectively, to 166.12 VND/JPY and 170.74 VND/JPY. At Techcombank, the Japanese Yen exchange rate decreased by 2.6 VND and the selling rate decreased by 2.69 VND, respectively, to 161.80 VND/JPY and 172.83 VND/JPY. At HSBC Bank, the Japanese Yen exchange rate increased by 0.61 VND and the selling rate increased by 0.64 VND, respectively, to 166.86 VND/JPY and 174.22 VND/JPY.

According to the survey, today HSBC is the bank with the highest buying rate of Japanese Yen and Agribank is the bank with the lowest selling rate among the banks.

VCB USD continues to increase, world USD cools down

Today, the VCB USD exchange rate continued to increase by 35 VND in both buying and selling directions. The world USD cooled down and continued trading around the 102 point mark.

The central VND/USD exchange rate today (December 20) was announced by the State Bank to be adjusted to 23,914 VND/USD, an increase of 31 VND compared to the closing price of the trading session on December 19.

Currently, the exchange rate allowed for trading by commercial banks ranges from 23,400 - 25,059 VND/USD. The US Dollar exchange rate has also been brought to the buying and selling range by the State Bank of Vietnam from 23,400 to 25,059 VND/USD.

The USD exchange rate at banks and domestic foreign exchange rates this morning recorded a series of upward adjustments at banks. Specifically, Vietcombank has a buying price of 24,145 and a selling price of 24,515, an increase of 35 VND compared to the trading session on December 19. The current USD buying and selling prices are in the range of 23,400 - 25,300 VND/USD.

Domestic coffee prices turn down

Domestic coffee prices updated at 5:12 a.m. on December 20, 2023 returned to a downward trend but remained high, approximately 67,000 VND/kg. Currently, the average coffee price in the Central Highlands provinces is about 66,700 VND/kg, the highest purchase price in Dak Lak and Dak Nong provinces is 66,900 VND/kg.

Specifically, the coffee purchase price in Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces is quite high at 66,800 VND/kg; In Dak Lak and Dak Nong provinces, coffee is purchased at the highest price of 66,900 VND/kg.

In districts such as Bao Loc, Di Linh, Lam Ha (Lam Dong province), green coffee beans are purchased at 66,200 VND/kg.
