Can Tho sepak takraw athlete participates in the world cup tournament.

(CT) - This is athlete Pham Quoc Thinh (pictured), who will compete in the men's team of three event at the 2026 Sepak Takraw World Cup.

Pham Quoc Thinh, born in 2005, is a member of the Can Tho Sepak Takraw team and has been awarded the title of National Master. Quoc Thinh began training with the Soc Trang (formerly) Sepak Takraw team in 2019. In early 2026, Quoc Thinh was called up to the national team, training at the National High-Level Athlete Training Center ( Hanoi ).

Some of Quoc Thinh's recent achievements include a gold medal in the men's doubles team event at the 2025 National Sepak Takraw Championship; a gold medal in the men's hoop event at the 2025 U20 Youth Sepak Takraw Championship; and a silver medal in the men's triples team event at the 2026 National Sepak Takraw Club Championship.

The 2026 Sepak Takraw World Cup will only feature men's events and will take place from May 16th to 23rd in Malaysia. The Vietnamese national Sepak Takraw team will participate with 15 members, including 1 team leader, 1 referee, 1 coach, and 12 athletes from the following provinces: Hanoi, Vinh Long, Lao Cai, Thanh Hoa, Can Tho City, and Hue.
