Athletes are excited about the new content at Aqua Warriors Van Don 2025 - Camel Cup

(Dan Tri) - Ms. Tran Huong Thao feels worried and hopes that storm Ragasa will dissipate quickly so that the Aqua Warriors Van Don 2025 - Camel Cup sports event can still take place in her hometown of Quang Ninh as planned.

"Storm Ragasa is expected to hit Quang Ninh just 2 days before the Aqua Warriors Van Don 2025 - Camel Cup kicks off, so I, like many other athletes, am worried that the tournament will not be postponed. Hopefully the storm will dissipate quickly and the weather will be nice again so everyone can compete," Ms. Tran Huong Thao, an office worker at a foreign joint venture company in Quang Ninh, shared with Dan Tri before the Aqua Warriors Van Don 2025 - Camel Cup.

Aqua Warriors Van Don 2025 - Camel Cup organized by Dan Tri newspaper in collaboration with Bolt Event will take place on September 27 and 28 at Sonasea Van Don Habor City resort complex, Van Don (Quang Ninh).

This event gathers about 2,000 domestic and international athletes participating in 7 competition distances: from Kids and Junior swimming and running for children to long distances for adults such as Ultra Aqua Warriors (5km swim - 21km run), Full Aqua Warriors (3km swim - 15km run) or Olympic Aqua Warriors (1.5km swim - 10km run).

"The attraction of Aqua Warriors Van Don 2025 - Camele Cup is the Open water mixed team relay 4x750m. This is the first time this event has appeared, so both I and many other athletes are very interested. This event also creates a more cohesive playground, promoting team spirit," said Ms. Huong Thao about the event she registered to participate in at the tournament taking place in Quang Ninh - where her whole family lives and works.

Accordingly, at the Aqua Warriors Van Don 2025 - Camel Cup, for the first time, the Open Water Mixed Team Relay 4x750m event will appear. Each team consists of 4 athletes (at least 1 male and 1 female), each athlete will take turns swimming 750m before handing over the chip to their teammates.

The tactics and team spirit make Mixed Team Relay an exciting and dramatic competition. Relaying is not only about giving chips, but also about giving trust, spirit and aspiration to teammates as Ms. Huong Thao shared.

"The tournament takes place in my hometown so I encouraged both my husband and son to participate. Aqua Warriors is always a difficult but exciting challenge so we are looking forward to experiencing it this weekend," Ms. Huong Thao revealed.

Accordingly, in addition to Ms. Huong Thao participating in the Open water mixed team relay 4x750m, her husband, Mr. Le Nhu Tung, participated as a pacer - also a new highlight appearing for the first time in the tournament. In addition, Ms. Thao's son, Le Nhu Tung Lam, participated in the Kids Aqua Warriors event.

"To prepare well for this tournament, I focused on swimming practice, mixed with jogging and yoga to supplement and stretch my muscles. During my training, I also participated in outdoor swimming events organized by clubs such as swimming in Sam Son beach, lakes near Hanoi , and swimming in the Red River to practice my outdoor swimming skills.

As for my husband, he wanted to challenge and experience something new, so he decided to become a pacer for running 3 times a week, maintain swimming 3 times a week, and combine both swimming and running every weekend.

My son still practices swimming regularly at Thang Long Club and runs 2-3 times a week, hoping he will improve his performance compared to Aqua Warriors Halong Bay 2025 last April. Currently, the whole family is ready to compete," Ms. Huong Thao concluded.
