Ninh Binh Women's Club is said to not have registered Bich Tuyen in the list of players competing in the second round of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship, even though this athlete previously played a very important role in the championship goal of the Hoa Lu ancient capital team.
Bich Tuyen retired from the competition due to a recurring injury. However, many people do not think this is the reason why this player had to withdraw. In fact, before the news that the 25-year-old player was not on the competition list appeared, Ninh Binh Club had planned to have her as an assistant coach in the second phase of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship.

This is the third time this year that Bich Tuyen has withdrawn from competing. The most recent time, this setter said goodbye to the Vietnamese women's volleyball team at the 2025 World Championship.
Bich Tuyen shared: "It's not because of a lack of desire to compete, but because of new requirements from the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) on the competition conditions of athletes. For me, sport is not only about competition but also about respect and fairness.
To protect myself and avoid unnecessary risks for the team, I decided to withdraw. I will spend this time focusing on training and preparing for future tournaments."
Previously, in some international tournaments, Bich Tuyen also often cited injury as the reason to withdraw. It is worth mentioning that in tournaments held at home such as SEA V-League, VTV Cup, SEA Games... she was almost never absent.
Bich Tuyen’s decision to withdraw this time was within the predictions of many people. It is a fact that the 2000-born setter has been under a lot of pressure from opponents as well as public opinion, related to the controversy over gender issues.
The Vietnam Volleyball Federation confirmed that it will only test the gender of athletes from the beginning of 2026. In the immediate future, some athletes whose gender is suspected will continue to compete domestically because the regulations for the 2025 season have been issued and applied.

Bich Tuyen did not participate in the second phase of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship to avoid controversy, but from this moment, many people are interested in whether Bich Tuyen will return to the national team to participate in the 33rd SEA Games or not, because this is the most important tournament of the year for Vietnamese volleyball.
Since the beginning of the year, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation has assigned the target of winning gold medals to coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team. This is an extremely difficult task, but there is also hope for the Vietnamese women's volleyball team.
The chance of winning the SEA Games gold medal became more likely when the Vietnamese girls played evenly with Thailand in the first leg of the SEA V-League, then defeated the team from the land of the golden pagodas 3-2 in the "return match" at home. This is the first time in history that the Vietnamese women's volleyball team has won against Thailand. In this victory, Bich Tuyen contributed the most with 45 points.
Thailand will find it hard to swallow the defeat against the Vietnamese women's volleyball team, and it is not difficult to understand why the SEA Games 33 Organizing Committee will go to the end on the issue of gender testing. To avoid problems like the case of Dang Thi Hong in the U21 Vietnam team at the world championship, the possibility of Bich Tuyen withdrawing from the team once again is very high.
