(Dan Tri) - Tung Duong said that on the afternoon of September 30, he transferred 500 million VND to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Tri and Nghe An. The remaining 500 million VND will soon be sent to Ha Tinh, Hue, and Thanh Hoa.

On September 30, singer Tung Duong and a group of close friends raised 1 billion VND to support people in 5 provinces and cities that are suffering heavy damage caused by storm Bualoi (storm No. 10), including: Nghe An, Ha Tinh , Quang Tri, Hue and Thanh Hoa.

Sharing about this relief activity, Tung Duong said that since the storm Bualoi made landfall in Vietnam, he has been constantly updating information about this unusually fierce storm and could not help but feel heartbroken at the image of people in many provinces in the Central region struggling to cope with the devastation of the storm, followed by flash floods and landslides.

"The severe damage to people and property caused by the storm up to this point is extremely terrible. As an artist who has received love from audiences nationwide, I am always aware that I need to be responsible in joining hands to support people to overcome the severe consequences caused by the storm, especially families in difficult circumstances in the storm's eye," said the male singer.

With this sense of responsibility, Tung Duong and some of his friends joined hands to raise 1 billion VND and decided to use the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of 5 provinces and cities to support people to overcome the consequences of storms and floods.

Tung Duong said that on the afternoon of September 30, he contacted the representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the two provinces: Quang Tri and Nghe An and transferred 500 million VND of the total amount raised. The remaining 500 million VND will soon be sent to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the provinces of Ha Tinh, Hue and Thanh Hoa.

The entire amount of donations he represents and transfers to the 5 provinces will be recorded, have receipts, and posted on his personal page in the coming days.

“I hope that my work and that of my friends will help ease the pain and loss, and help people in areas affected by storms, floods, and natural disasters quickly stabilize their lives,” Tung Duong shared.

The above amount of 1 billion VND was quietly called for by him and his friends to donate together this morning, September 30.

Next, he will continue to call on close friends to donate to continue supporting more people in the provinces and cities where storm Bualoi swept through and left serious consequences, including those in particularly difficult circumstances.

This is not the first time singer Tung Duong has shown the spirit of "mutual love", sharing the pain with people affected by natural disasters, storms, floods, epidemics... in localities across the country.

In September 2024, the male singer and his friends donated 500 million VND to the people in Thai Nguyen who suffered heavy damage due to storm Yagi and the storm's aftermath.

In September 2023, Tung Duong, Tang Duy Tan and some friends joined hands to donate 370 million VND to share with the relatives of the victims who died and were injured in the mini apartment fire in Khuong Dinh ward, Thanh Xuan district, Hanoi.

Previously, in 2021, when the Covid-19 pandemic broke out, Tung Duong and his friends donated nearly 2 billion to people in the two provinces of Bac Ninh and Bac Giang (now Bac Ninh) to prevent the epidemic.

In 2020, the male singer also donated nearly 2 billion VND, personally handing over to 6 hospitals in Hanoi equipment for disease protection and prevention.
