Recently, the People's Committee of Tuy Phuoc district (Binh Dinh province) held a press conference to provide information about the 'Con Chim Half Marathon 2025'. This is the first half marathon race to be held in the district, with nearly 2,000 runners expected to participate.

According to the organizers, the race will take place on August 2-3, 2025, and will include five distances. Three distances (5km, 10km, and 20km) are for adults, while two distances (600m and 1.2km) are for children. The starting and finishing points will be located in the Cho Dinh residential area, Vinh Quang 2 hamlet, Phuoc Son commune (Tuy Phuoc district).

The Con Chim Half Marathon 2025 promises to offer unique sporting experiences combined with the pristine natural landscapes and distinctive culture of Binh Dinh province, with a route that winds through riverside paths, fishing villages, saltwater lagoons, and rice paddies.

Along the running route, athletes can admire the sunrise over Con Chim Island.

In addition, athletes will experience the peaceful pace of life of the local people, and embark on a journey back to childhood memories along a route steeped in the charm of Vietnamese countryside.

The Con Chim Half Marathon 2025 is not just a sporting event, but also an opportunity to explore a nature reserve with a diverse ecosystem, where rivers, seas, and mangrove forests meet.

Because the entire route for the athletes runs along Con Chim Island, an area of approximately 480 hectares located in the middle of Thi Nai Lagoon, which covers 5,000 hectares and is situated within the territories of three localities: Quy Nhon City, Tuy Phuoc District, and Phu Cat District.

Con Chim Island, dubbed the "green oasis" of Binh Dinh, is considered an ecological "treasure trove" with hundreds of species of fish, shrimp, and birds. Its clean and tranquil environment provides ideal conditions for athletes to achieve their best results.

Because of its unique race route, the event also limits the number of tickets to ensure the best possible experience for participating athletes.

Mr. Nguyen Hung Tan, Vice Chairman of the Tuy Phuoc District People's Committee and Head of the Organizing Committee, said: "The Con Chim Half Marathon 2025 was originally scheduled by the local authorities to take place on March 8-9. However, due to the event coinciding with many local festivals, causing difficulties in infrastructure and other objective conditions, it had to be adjusted, and the event has been postponed to August 2-3, 2025."
