Bau Ca Cai ( Quang Ngai ) is a mangrove forest surrounded by mountain ranges and sand dunes, formed over 200 years ago with traces of the past.
The Bau Ca Cai mangrove forest in Binh Thuan commune (Binh Son district, Quang Ngai province ) covers an area of approximately 200 hectares and is located more than 40 km northeast of Quang Ngai city center. It is the largest mangrove forest in Quang Ngai province.

Mr. Nguyen Khuong (55 years old, residing in Thuan Phuoc village, Binh Thuan commune) has been connected to the Bau Ca Cai mangrove forest for over 30 years. This place has been the foundation for his family's livelihood, enabling him to raise and educate his four children. Currently, Mr. Khuong is the team leader of the boat team that takes tourists on tours of the Bau Ca Cai mangrove forest.

Bau Ca Cai is surrounded by mountain ranges and sand dunes formed over 200 years ago, bearing traces of the past. Despite its location within the Dung Quat Economic Zone, a bustling industrial area, Bau Ca Cai has maintained its tranquility and rare, pristine natural beauty, which is carefully protected and cared for by the local people.

In 2014, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Quang Ngai province implemented a coastal forest restoration project, planting millions of white mangrove trees on nearly 65 hectares around Bau Ca Cai. This project transformed Bau Ca Cai into a lush, pristine, and mysterious mangrove forest, like a miniature Mekong Delta in the sunny and windy central region of Vietnam.

In April 2022, the Quang Ngai Provincial Fisheries Department released fish, shrimp, and crabs into the Bau Ca Cai mangrove forest, and the local authorities banned fishing in the area.
