Instead of bustling amusement parks, many families are now trending towards returning to the peaceful countryside of Ha Tinh . Here, the April 30th and May 1st holidays are no longer spent watching TV or playing on phones, but truly become a "third semester" filled with laughter, where children can catch grasshoppers with their own hands, learn how to cast a fishing rod, and let their minds wander as they fly kites on the windy embankment.
Children enjoy catching fish in the irrigation ditches of the rice fields in Cam Binh commune.
“Every time I come home, my dad takes me to the fields to catch fish and watch the farmers harvest rice. I really enjoy it and have many memories. It’s hard for me to have experiences like this in the city,” shared Pham Nguyen Bao Chau (in the red shirt, Thanh Sen ward).
"During holidays, tourist destinations are usually quite crowded, so I chose to take my children back to our hometown so they could have fun in a spacious environment, experience rural life, and create meaningful memories with their family," said Mr. Nguyen Dinh Duong (Thanh Sen ward).
Flying kites in the fields has become a simple yet exciting joy for many children during their holiday trips back to their hometowns. Coming back to my hometown, being able to go to the wide, windy fields and fly my kite high in the air, I feel very happy and excited. This is an experience I rarely get in the city,” shared Tran Nu Thuc Khue (on the right, Giang Vo Ward, Hanoi).
In the afternoons in the fields, the children excitedly gather to catch grasshoppers and cast fishing lines by the ditches. These simple, seemingly familiar games of the countryside bring special enjoyment, helping them explore nature and savor unforgettable moments of their innocent childhood.
Walking with their siblings, enjoying the fresh air, and reading stories on the embankments in the afternoon, young children find moments of peace. In the hustle and bustle of modern life, these simple experiences in the countryside therefore become even more meaningful for each child.
