Young people check-in when visiting Hue Imperial City

Hue attracts tourists from near and far

Early in the morning of the second day of the holiday (August 31), Mr. Ngo Bao Thanh’s family (from Nghe An) departed for Hue. On the private car, the whole family agreed to stop for a quick meal and then continue their journey to reach Hue as soon as possible. Mr. Thanh shared: “My husband and I have been to Hue three times, but this is the first time for the children, so everyone is excited. The whole family has prepared a long list of places to visit, have fun and enjoy Hue cuisine .”

Storm No. 6 has dissipated, and the weather in Hue since August 31 has been quite nice, favorable for tourism activities and experiences of visitors. During this year's holiday, many families and groups of young people choose to travel independently, traveling by personal car or renting a car. Mr. Nguyen Van Quang (Dak Lak) said that thanks to the support of navigation technology and detailed reviews online, traveling and eating have become more convenient and economical.

This is also the last long holiday of the year, before children start the new school year, so many families take advantage of the time to reunite and travel together. At destinations in Hue, especially the relic system, it is easy to see many domestic and foreign tourists coming to visit and experience.

An impressive point during the National Day holiday is the red flag with yellow star appearing everywhere in the streets, tourist attractions, cafes, restaurants, and eateries. Not only is the national flag hung solemnly, the red flag with yellow star is also the image printed on shirts, hats, scarves or stickers stuck on the faces of tourists, as a way to express love for the homeland and country on the important holiday of the whole nation.

According to statistics from the Department of Tourism from data on bookings and customer survey channels, during the September 2 holiday this year, the total number of visitors to Hue is estimated at 196,000, an increase of nearly 51% over the same period last year. Revenue from tourism services reached about 310 billion VND, an increase of nearly 135%. Of which, the number of overnight guests is estimated at 92,000, of which domestic guests accounted for about 69,000. The average room occupancy rate at hotels reached 72%; at peak times on August 31, September 1 and September 2, many hotels were more than 85% full. Most hotels in the center of Hue city, coastal resorts, lagoons and waterfalls, and homestays in Hue city are almost full of guests booking rooms for these 3 days.

Beautiful weather, favorable for tourist experiences in Hue

A representative of Vietravel Hue Tourism Company Limited said that the trend of independent travel and short-term tours is on the rise during this holiday. Tourists coming to Hue often combine visiting nearby tourist destinations such as Quang Tri and Da Nang. In Hue, they tend to explore relics, community tourism, Tam Giang lagoon or enjoy unique cuisine. Although many people choose to travel independently, travel agencies still receive many requests to book services such as entrance tickets, hotel rooms, etc.

Hue is a friendly and attractive destination

On the occasion of September 2 this year, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center announced free admission for Vietnamese citizens at the relic sites of the Hue Monuments Complex on September 2. In addition, on this occasion, many localities and tourist attractions also organize many festivals, programs and experiential activities. Notably, there is the Hue Nam Palace Festival taking place from August 30 to September 1, and boat racing on the Perfume River on September 2. On the evening of September 2, at Ngo Mon Square, there will also be a special art program to celebrate National Day and a high-altitude fireworks display with 1,000 fireworks illuminating the Hue Flag Tower, promising to bring memorable moments to tens of thousands of spectators, locals and tourists.

In A Luoi, the highland market with the theme "Discovering Colors" takes place from August 30 to September 2, offering visitors a space to experience local culture - cuisine - agricultural products, games, sports competitions and special folk art performances.

The joy of children going to Hue for the holidays

Ms. Tran Thi Hoai Tram, Director of the Department of Tourism, said that during the National Day holiday on September 2 this year, Hue city continues to focus on exploiting typical tourism products associated with culture - heritage, community tourism and green experiences. Tourists have the opportunity to participate in experiential tours; bicycle tours to explore Phuoc Tich ancient village, Kim Long garden house, Thanh Toan tile bridge; eco-community tourism journeys in Thuy Bieu, Phu Mau, A Luoi, Thon Doi, Tam Giang - Cau Hai lagoon; along with the Net Zero tour - "A day of green living in Hue" which is attracting attention.

The tourism industry and service providers are making efforts to build a safe, friendly and attractive image of Hue. The beautiful impression comes not only from the products and services, but also from the enthusiasm and hospitality of each Hue resident.

Mr. Ho Dang Xuan Lan, Chairman of Hue City Hotel Association, General Director of Parkview Hue Hotel, shared: Before the holiday, hotels have reviewed facilities, increased human resources, and trained staff to ensure the best service, especially at the reception department - the place that directly receives and handles guests' requests. Professionalism, speed and dedication are the factors that retain tourists.

The Department of Tourism also requires accommodation establishments to publicly list prices, absolutely not increase prices or force customers during peak seasons, to maintain the image of Hue tourism as civilized and friendly. Inspection and supervision work has been strengthened; the hotline is open 24/7 to promptly receive and handle feedback, ensuring the rights of tourists and businesses.
