According to Nguyen Thanh Danh, Director of the Quang Trach District Branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP), a highlight of the past term was the unit's decisive implementation of various solutions to effectively carry out credit programs. As a result, credit growth has been rapid, and its quality has continuously improved. Capital growth during the past term accounted for 60.54% of total capital; the overdue loan rate is the lowest since the establishment of the VBSP.
Annually, the department has coordinated with political and social organizations entrusted with implementing social policy credit programs to lend to poor households and policy beneficiaries, while also coordinating and directing organizations within the network to accelerate loan disbursement for credit programs and urging the handling of overdue debts.

Thanks to this, over the years, the District Branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies has successfully carried out its lending nhiệm vụ to poor households and other policy beneficiaries. To date, the unit has implemented 17 credit programs with a total outstanding loan balance of VND 740.1 billion, an increase of VND 279.1 billion compared to the beginning of the term. The capital has helped 22,683 customers obtain loans, with an average loan of VND 45.7 million per household. As one of the near-poor households in Quang Phu commune, thanks to access to social policy credit loans, Ms. Le Thi Cuc has gradually increased her income to escape near-poverty and become a household with a stable income. Ms. Cuc shared: Her family used to be very poor. Fortunately, she was introduced to a preferential loan package for near-poor households by the Veterans Association and the village's savings and loan group. She boldly borrowed 50 million VND to invest in cattle farming. Thanks to that, her family's economy has gradually improved. She not only pays the monthly interest and principal but also has a stable income for daily living expenses.
From 2020-2025, policy credit funds have helped more than 900 poor households, 1,309 near-poor households, and 1,752 newly-escaped-poverty households borrow capital for production and business investment; helped attract and create jobs for over 2,600 workers; helped more than 300 students borrow capital for their studies; and helped 43 people who have completed their prison sentences borrow capital for production, business, and reintegration into the community. |
It can be said that, after 5 years of implementing the resolution of the Party Branch Congress for the 2020-2025 term, despite facing many difficulties and challenges, with the spirit of unity and the efforts of the collective of cadres, civil servants, and Party members of the District Branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies, significant results have been achieved. All targets have been met and exceeded the set plan. The application of modern information technology in performing tasks has brought practical results.
