Vietnam prepares to welcome 'wave' of investment from the United States

Many leading US industrial corporations such as Apple, Intel, Coca-Cola and Nike come to Vietnam to seek business opportunities.

From March 18 to 21, two delegations of 64 US businesses came to Vietnam to seek investment and business opportunities.

This is the largest US business delegation to Vietnam to date. The delegation brings together a diverse group of industry leaders who are eager to support Vietnam’s transition to a new phase of economic growth, including companies from sectors where the US plays a global leadership role, such as: Industrial, information technology, financial services, logistics, manufacturing, energy, aerospace and defense, healthcare, consumer products, food and agriculture.

Among the businesses coming to Vietnam to seek investment and business opportunities, there are leading US businesses operating in the industrial sector such as: Apple, Intel, Coca-Cola, Nike, Boeing.

The delegation is led by former US Ambassador to Vietnam and President of the US-ASEAN Business Council (USABC), Mr. Ted Osius. The US business delegation to Vietnam is of special significance as the US and Vietnam celebrate 30 years of normalized relations. During the 3-day working trip, USABC will hold important meetings with senior leaders of Vietnam and the Government .

Speaking at a press conference held at noon on March 18, organized by USABC, former Ambassador Ted Osius said that as Vietnam enters a new phase with a reformed and streamlined political system, the US business community has high expectations for the positive impacts of these changes, as well as new cooperation opportunities.

Mr. Ted Osius said that this program is an opportunity to affirm the long-term commitment of US businesses in Vietnam, emphasize the diversity in cooperation fields, and promote close relations between the Vietnamese Government and the US business community.
