Vietcombank honored as a National Brand for the 9th time.

Vietcombank (Vietnam Foreign Trade Commercial Bank) is the only bank to have achieved the National Brand award in all selection rounds from 2003 to the present. The National Brand Program is a unique, long-term, and specific trade promotion program of the Government aimed at building and developing national brands through product brands. Participation in the program is a process for businesses to comprehensively evaluate their activities, production and business results, and brand building strategies through the program's criteria system; thereby encouraging businesses to share and pursue core values. In 2024, despite the complex developments of geopolitical instability in the world that negatively impacted many aspects of socio-economic life and the production and business activities of enterprises, the 9th National Brand selection round continued to attract the attention and participation of over 1,000 businesses from various industries and sectors nationwide. After more than 9 months of launching and implementing the selection process, on October 21, 2024, the Minister of Industry and Trade - Chairman of the Vietnam National Brand Council - issued Decision No. 2776/QD-BCT recognizing 190 enterprises with a total of 359 products as achieving the Vietnam National Brand status in 2024.

Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that a brand is not only an affirmation of product quality, but also a commitment to sustainable development to "venture into the green era." Businesses that have achieved National Brand status, and the Vietnamese business community and entrepreneurs in general, need to continue to promote core values: Quality - Innovation - Creativity - Pioneering Capability. In the coming time, businesses need to focus on effectively implementing six key tasks and solutions. Specifically, businesses should continuously exploit opportunities from the trend of green growth and sustainable development; be pioneers in the green revolution; leverage the prestige of the National Brand, while combining product branding with the Vietnam National Brand; actively seek and expand international markets and participate more deeply in global supply chains. In addition, businesses should continuously improve their modern management capabilities; apply advanced, transparent, and sound management standards; Emphasis is placed on sustainability in production. Simultaneously, the bank is promoting digital transformation and green transformation; proactively innovating production and business models, and restructuring enterprises in line with the development of a green economy , digital economy, and circular economy. This contributes to enhancing brand reputation and building strong consumer confidence in product and service quality. With its ninth consecutive National Brand award, Vietcombank continues to affirm its position as the leading bank in the system in terms of quality and operational efficiency. With a vision to maintain its position as the number one bank in Vietnam by 2030, ranking among the top 200 financial and banking groups in the world, the top 700 listed companies globally, and making a significant contribution to Vietnam's sustainable development, Vietcombank aims to lead in environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) through its Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS) and Environmental and Social Risk Management System, in line with the Sustainable Development Indicators in Vietnam of the VNSI standards, gradually moving towards ESG sustainable development goals according to international standards.
