VietinBank participated in the 2025 Digital Transformation in the Banking Industry event with the theme "Smart Digital Ecosystem in the New Era".

The bank is accelerating digitalization and applying AI, Big Data, and APIs to optimize operations and enhance customer experience through platforms such as VietinBank eFAST, ERP, Merchant Platform, eContract, eInvoice, and Smart POS. Simultaneously, VietinBank is collaborating with Fintech and payment partners to expand its open and connected ecosystem.

With a focus on sustainable development, VietinBank is a pioneer in green capital portfolios, preferential credit, ESG consulting services, and supporting businesses towards zero net emissions. At the same time, VietinBank provides flexible funding from working capital, medium- and long-term loans to M&A financing solutions and bond issuance, tailored to the specific needs of each industry.

On the international stage, VietinBank affirms its role as a bridge for trade, supply chain financing, international payments, FX, derivatives, etc., accompanying FDI enterprises and import-export businesses, anticipating the wave of supply chain relocation.

As of June 30, 2025, VietinBank's outstanding corporate loans reached VND 1,103 trillion, an increase of nearly 1.6 times compared to the end of 2020; mobilized capital reached VND 702 trillion, an increase of nearly 1.6 times compared to the end of 2020.

Many retail indicators have recorded positive growth, especially CASA, which has increased sharply, reaching 31% in 2024. Retail loan balances have grown by double digits over the years, contributing to improved operational efficiency.

In the digital age and with the increasing demand for personalized retail customer experiences, VietinBank focuses on: Personalizing customer experiences with AI and Big Data; applying technology in marketing activities (MarTech) and marketing automation; building a comprehensive digital ecosystem, integrating financial services into daily life; and enhancing risk management capabilities through technology.

Expanding international cooperation

VietinBank's capital business operations have made a mark by continuously expanding their scale, optimizing their portfolio, boosting proprietary trading profits, and contributing to a structural shift towards increasing non-credit profits. As one of the few Vietnamese banks pioneering the provision of IRS and CCS derivative products, VietinBank helps customers effectively manage risks and affirms its market capabilities. For commodity derivatives, VietinBank provides solutions for hedging against price fluctuations for businesses in the following sectors: agricultural products, fuels, energy, metals, etc.

Over the past five years, VietinBank has significantly increased its bond issuance, raising approximately 75,000 billion VND. In the first six months of 2025 alone, VietinBank issued 16,350 billion VND through two public offerings and seven private placements. VietinBank is currently digitizing its issuance process, deeply integrating it with digital platforms, and optimizing the investor experience.
