VIMC was honored at the Vietnam I4 Impact Awards 2026.

On the evening of May 30th in Hanoi, Vietnam Maritime Corporation (VIMC) was honored at the Vietnam I4 Impact Awards 2026 in the Smart Industry category. The award recognizes VIMC's outstanding efforts in promoting digital transformation, innovation, and the application of technology in its business operations; and affirms the increasingly prominent role of the national maritime enterprise in the digital transformation of the Vietnamese economy.

The Vietnam I4 Impact Awards is an annual program jointly organized by specialized agencies and organizations in science, technology, and digital transformation to identify and honor pioneering businesses, organizations, and individuals who create valuable technological solutions contributing to the development of Vietnam's digital economy . From 2026, the program will be renamed from I4.0 Awards to Vietnam I4 Impact Awards, emphasizing the "impact" of technology on society and the economy.

In 2026, the program attracted hundreds of applications from various fields, reflecting the strong trend of digital transformation spreading within the business community. This year's award aims to honor organizations, businesses, and individuals who create technological solutions with a tangible impact on the digital economy and society.

VIMC's recognition in the Smart Industry category comes amidst a context where digital transformation is becoming one of the nation's key strategic directions. In particular, Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024, of the Politburo identified the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation as a "top priority breakthrough and the main driving force" for the rapid development of modern production forces, the modernization of management methods, and the enhancement of the economy's competitiveness.

Resolution 57-NQ/TW also emphasizes the central role of businesses in the innovation ecosystem, while encouraging the development of digital infrastructure, digital data, strategic technologies, and smart manufacturing models to create new growth drivers for the country in the digital age.

In line with this direction, VIMC identifies digital transformation as one of the pillars of its long-term development strategy, linked to the goal of becoming the leading integrated maritime logistics enterprise in Vietnam. In recent years, VIMC has accelerated the implementation of numerous digital transformation programs throughout its system, applying technology to the management and operation of seaports, maritime transport, and logistics. Data management and business operation platforms in a digital environment are being deployed synchronously at member enterprises.

Simultaneously, VIMC aims to build a smart maritime ecosystem to improve operational efficiency, optimize resources, strengthen supply chain connectivity, and enhance customer service quality. This is also a crucial foundation for the company to promote green transformation, sustainable development, and deeper integration into the global logistics chain.

In the context of the global maritime industry witnessing dramatic changes under the impact of digital technology , artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and automation, investing in innovation not only helps VIMC enhance its competitiveness but also opens up new growth models based on knowledge and technology.
