This is the second batch of VinFast cars exported to the international market, of which 2 cars will be handed over to US customers, the remaining 1.098 cars will continue to be shipped to Canada in the following days.
The entire batch of vehicles this time is the VF 8, with a higher driving range compared to the batch of 999 City Edition cars arriving in the US at the end of 2022. Accordingly, the driving range for a full charge certified by EPA for the VF 8 Eco version is 264 miles and for the VF 8 Plus version is 243 miles.
In terms of after-sales, VF 8 also applies a warranty policy of 10 years/125.000 miles for the vehicle and 10 years/unlimited mileage for the battery, mobile repair service and 24/7 rescue during the warranty period.
Le Thi Thu Thuy, Vice President of Vingroup and President of VinFast said: “After more than 4 months of exporting the first batch of cars, VinFast continues to bring new options with the VF 8 model with a longer travel distance, confirming our methodical business strategy and our serious commitment to global customers. The acceptance and support of consumers in the US and Canada is the motivation for VinFast to make more efforts in the journey to join hands with the community to promote electrification, towards a green and sustainable future for everyone. .”
Currently, VinFast has completed procedures to sell VF 8 cars in the US such as receiving EPA COC to import and circulate the car; CARB EO to deliver vehicles to customers in California and CARB states (including 14 other states and Washington DC). At the same time, VF 8 has also successfully completed FMVSS tests according to NHTSA regulations. It is expected that the company will hand over the VF 8 to customers from June 6.
After handing over 1.098 vehicles to the US market, Silver Queen will continue to transport the remaining 781 vehicles to Canada, expected to dock in mid-May 5.
