On December 17th, Google Vietnam's homepage featured a doodle honoring Ha Long Bay in Vietnam.

Google's homepage honors Ha Long Bay, a World Natural Heritage site, on its Google Doodle.
Accordingly, the Google Vietnam homepage now features a doogle illustration temporarily replacing the familiar Google logo.
Ha Long Bay is depicted in a stylized way, featuring towering, verdant mountains, a ship with distinctive brown sails, and flocks of seagulls flying over the sea.
Specifically, when users click on the unique icon, it will display 10 million search results about Ha Long Bay, including information related to tourism , accommodation, natural beauty, etc.
Google also stated that the temporary replacement with an illustration of Ha Long Bay was to honor this wonder 29 years after it was recognized by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage site. Recently, on September 16, 2023, Ha Long Bay, along with the Cat Ba archipelago ( Hai Phong ), was once again recognized as a World Natural Heritage site. This is Vietnam's first dual World Natural Heritage site.
Ha Long Bay has been recognized as a World Natural Heritage site three times.
Thus, to date, Ha Long Bay has been recognized as a World Natural Heritage Site three times, in 1994, 2000, and 2023.
To commemorate the 29th anniversary of its designation as a World Natural Heritage site, the Ha Long City Party Committee recently collaborated with the National Council for Cultural Heritage to organize a workshop titled "Preserving and Promoting the Value of Cultural Heritage in the Sustainable Development of Ha Long City".
The workshop attracted a large number of scientists and cultural heritage managers who presented many meaningful papers on preserving and developing the Ha Long Bay World Natural Heritage site.
