Unique tourist destinations that attract visitors.
Mr. Tran Minh Hai, Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Loi District, said that Vinh Loi is a predominantly agricultural district with underdeveloped infrastructure and a production system based solely on rice cultivation, resulting in many difficulties for the people. However, the district has potential and advantages for developing tourism and services, which contribute significantly to the socio -economic development of the district.

Typically, in Chau Thoi commune, there is the Ho Chi Minh Memorial Temple, which is classified as a National Historical Monument. This is a structure of historical significance and humanistic value, reflecting the devotion of the Party Committee and the people of Bac Lieu province to President Ho Chi Minh. Not far away is the ancient Vinh Hung Tower (Vinh Hung commune), a structure of cultural and historical value, also recognized as a National Artistic Monument. At Hung Thien Pagoda (Hung Hoi commune), there is a statue of the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara (also known as Mother of the East Sea) over 43 meters high, considered the tallest statue of the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara in the Mekong Delta region, attracting hundreds of thousands of pilgrims and visitors each year; thereby creating many jobs and increasing income for local people.

Hung Thien Pagoda is located in Hung Hoi commune, Vinh Loi district.
In particular, Chau Thoi commune also has Giac Hoa Pagoda, built in 1919 by Mrs. Huynh Thi Ngo (daughter of a wealthy landowner in Bac Lieu), considered one of the most representative architectural works in Bac Lieu at that time. In recent years, Giac Hoa Pagoda has received further investment in decorative features, making the scenery even more beautiful and picturesque, attracting an increasing number of tourists from all over the country to worship and pray for peace.
Giac Hoa Pagoda is located near National Highway 1, the district's administrative center, and the province's cultural sites. It is surrounded by the Cai Day River, Xeo Chich Canal, and Xang Muc Canal. Viewed from above, Giac Hoa Pagoda resembles an oasis, surrounded by golden rice paddies, with lush fruit orchards lining both banks of the river. About 800 meters from the pagoda is the ancient tomb of Mrs. Huynh Thi Ngo, built on a plot of land nearly 4,000 square meters; next to it is an ecological tourist area with many fruit trees and characteristic dishes of the fertile Bac Lieu region.
In addition, the district also has many unique and attractive tourist destinations and products that draw visitors from all over to visit, admire, and take photos, such as: Khmer temples (in Hung Hoi commune); Tan Hung communal house (in Long Thanh commune); Vinh Loi District Party Committee base; Cau Ba field, Hoa Huynh field (both in Chau Thoi commune). Especially, Vinh Loi also has many famous specialties and OCOP products such as Vinh Hung sour fish sauce, Tai Nguyen rice, and water spinach pickles…

Planning for key tourist areas
Mr. Tran Minh Hai stated that the district has developed a plan to promote the historical and cultural relics of Giac Hoa Pagoda and its surrounding area, transforming it into a key tourist destination that attracts visitors. To achieve the goal of developing tourism into a leading economic sector, accounting for an increasingly larger proportion of the economic structure, the district is implementing various preferential policies to attract investment in building bus stations, food and beverage service areas, entertainment facilities, and guesthouses; while also preserving and planting new nipa palm trees along both banks of the Cai Day River to prevent erosion and create a distinctive riverine landscape.
In addition, Vinh Loi district is also calling for investment in the construction and preservation of the "giant" grouper cave on the riverbank in front of Giac Hoa Pagoda; encouraging people to invest in developing tourism products, handicrafts, growing fruits, making cakes and specialty dishes; investing in building a community tourism village model, opening rowing boat services, and organizing traditional boat races for tourists to admire the picturesque river scenery of Vinh Loi homeland.

The Cau Ba rice field in Chau Thoi commune, Vinh Loi district, is one of the attractive tourist destinations.
Furthermore, it is necessary to accelerate investment in the comprehensive development of transportation infrastructure, improving connectivity to the district's key tourist destinations, especially investing in a system of ferry and bus terminals in areas with favorable conditions for tourism development. Continue to renovate, upgrade, and expand transportation routes to key tourist areas and attractions such as the Ho Chi Minh Memorial Temple, Vinh Hung ancient tower, Hung Thien pagoda, etc., in order to attract visitors from all over, with the expectation of creating more jobs, boosting service and trade growth, and contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality.
