Vinh Te joins hands for the people.

Under the leadership of the Party Committee, Vinh Te ward focuses on mobilizing social resources to care for the lives of the people, especially poor and disadvantaged households. This contributes to strengthening the people's trust and enhancing national unity.

According to Trang Cong Cuong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Vinh Te Ward: “After implementing the two-tiered local government model and carrying out the resolution of the first Party Congress of Vinh Te Ward, term 2025-2030, the Standing Committee of the Ward Party Committee has always paid attention to caring for policy beneficiary families, meritorious individuals, and vulnerable people in society. In briefing meetings and thematic conferences, we always require subordinate Party branches and committees to thoroughly understand the spirit of 'Whatever benefits the people must be done with all our might.' This spirit must be concretized into tasks in the resolutions and plans of the Party branches and committees.”

According to Mr. Trang Cong Cuong, under the attention and guidance of the Standing Committee of the Ward Party Committee, the local resource mobilization efforts have achieved many positive results. Specifically, in 2025, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward mobilized resources to build solidarity houses, give gifts to households in difficult circumstances, and donate bicycles to students who overcome difficulties and excel in their studies... totaling over 843 million VND in cash and over 741 million VND in in-kind donations.

In addition, the locality facilitated debt relief for 23 households, totaling nearly 530 million VND; mobilized cash donations of nearly 320 million VND to support people in the North affected by storms and floods, and in-kind donations valued at nearly 380 million VND. Each month, the locality regularly provides gifts, rice, and essential goods to over 300 disadvantaged households.

Nguyen Thi Bich Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Vinh Phuoc 1 Hamlet Party Branch, informed: “We understand the circumstances of the people. With the regular attention and guidance of the ward leaders, we actively support those in difficult circumstances in the hamlet. From July 2025 to the present, the hamlet Party Branch has mobilized resources to build one house, repair one house; and mobilized more than 2 tons of rice to support the people. We will mobilize an additional 500kg of rice to support the people in celebrating the Lunar New Year of the Horse in 2026.”

Expressing his joy at receiving support for a new house, Mr. Le Van Binh, residing in Vinh Phuoc 1 hamlet, shared: “I have dreamed of building one for a long time but lacked the means. Now that the local authorities have provided support, I am very happy! Returning to my new home after a day of work gives me more motivation to strive for a better life. I am very grateful for the concern of the local authorities and benefactors.” Not only Mr. Le Van Binh, but also other households receiving solidarity houses before the Lunar New Year, such as Ms. Tran Thi Duoc, residing in Cay Cham hamlet; Ms. Nguyen Thi Chinh, residing in Vinh Dong 2 hamlet; Mr. Huynh Ngoc Vui, residing in My Phu hamlet… are all extremely happy. For them, the warm home received thanks to the care of the Party Committee, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward and benefactors is a great source of motivation. This Tet holiday, they will celebrate the spring in a cozy and spacious house.

Having actively participated in social welfare work for many years, the Management Board of the Nui Sam Temple is a trusted address for those in difficult circumstances. Besides supporting the construction of solidarity houses for poor local households, the Management Board also provides gifts and support to homeless and destitute people. Mr. Nguyen Phuc Hoan - Head of the Information Board, said: “We consider caring for social welfare as an important part of our goal of serving the community. The Management Board receives contributions from visitors and uses those resources to support the community and help those in difficult circumstances. This is the right thing to do, in line with the tradition of mutual support and compassion of the Vietnamese people.”

To create favorable conditions for poor and near-poor households to celebrate the Lunar New Year 2026 in a warm and joyful manner, the locality launched a fundraising campaign for the poor, calling for contributions from philanthropists, resulting in the collection of nearly 1 billion VND. “Before the new spring, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Te Ward will organize a “Spring Market of Love,” with 1,000 gift packages for people in difficult circumstances, each worth 500,000 VND. In addition, we will continue to build 6 new solidarity houses to help people feel secure in their work and strive to escape poverty,” said Huynh Thi Thu Trang, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Te Ward.

According to Mr. Trang Cong Cuong, in 2026, Vinh Te ward will continue to focus on directing Party branches and committees to encourage Party members and the people to actively participate in social welfare work and care for those in difficult circumstances. This will foster unity and close ties between the Party committee, the government, and the people, maintaining the target of eliminating poverty and near-poverty in the ward by 2030, and striving to build Vinh Te into a unique cultural heritage city in the future.
