Helping underprivileged children realize their dreams.

QTO - With the spirit of building a compassionate and sustainable society, and ensuring that no one is left behind, caring for poor children, children with disabilities, and students from disadvantaged backgrounds has always been a top priority for the Provincial Red Cross Society. Over the past period, the Red Cross branches at all levels have organized many humane programs, contributing to giving disadvantaged children more motivation to excel in their studies and lives.

The "Nutrition for Poor and Disabled Children" program was implemented with many diverse and meaningful humanitarian activities, with a total budget of over 3.06 billion VND, supporting 6,100 beneficiaries. This is not only a program providing material support, but also a sharing of responsibility from the entire society towards the future generation of the country.

The Provincial Red Cross Society, in coordination with Friesland Campina Vietnam Co., Ltd., organized the donation of 2,226 cans of nutritional milk powder to 1,113 children aged 0-24 months from impoverished households, children with disabilities, and children in difficult circumstances in Bo Trach district and Minh Hoa district (formerly), with a total value of 769 million VND... Through these meaningful activities, comprehensive concern for community health has been demonstrated, especially for children and people who still face difficulties in accessing medical services.

To support the schooling of disadvantaged students, the Provincial Red Cross Society has collaborated with various organizations to build a boarding school canteen at Huong Hiep Kindergarten, Gia Gia branch, Huong Hiep commune, sponsored by Central Retail Vietnam Group; a boarding school canteen at A Vao Kindergarten (Pa Ling branch) sponsored by Truong Hai Group Joint Stock Company; and a boarding school canteen at Sen Thuy Kindergarten sponsored by Long Thanh Golf Investment and Business Joint Stock Company, with a total value of 900 million VND. In addition, the Provincial Red Cross Society, in coordination with the Vietnam Soy Milk Education Promotion Fund and Quang Ngai Sugar Joint Stock Company, organized the "School Soy Milk" program for the 2025-2026 school year at 10 primary schools and primary and secondary schools in Huong Hoa and Dakrong (formerly) districts, with a total value of 1.125 billion VND. This program is of practical significance in supplementing school nutrition and improving the physical health of students in disadvantaged areas.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Tinh, Principal of A Vao Kindergarten in Ta Rut commune, shared: "With the attention and support of the Provincial Red Cross Society and sponsoring units, the kitchen has been completed and put into use, helping children in the highlands have better learning and living conditions, and receive more nutritious, safe, and warm meals every day at school."

Besides caring for children's nutrition and health, the Red Cross Society continues to focus on supporting disadvantaged students through the "Helping Children Go to School" program for the 2025-2026 school year. Accordingly, the Provincial Red Cross Society awarded 50 scholarships, each worth 500,000 VND, to 50 underprivileged but academically excellent students at Ba Ren Semi-Boarding Primary and Secondary School in Nam Trach commune and Dong Hoa Primary School in Tuyen Phu commune, totaling 25 million VND; and collaborated with the former Quang Binh Business Club in Da Nang city to support the construction of one charitable house, and distributed 266 gifts and scholarships to disadvantaged people and students, totaling 188 million VND.

Ms. Mai Thi Kim Nhung, President of the Provincial Red Cross Society, emphasized: From nutritional milk cans, scholarships, charitable housing, or school canteen facilities, all have contributed to fulfilling the dreams of disadvantaged children in the province. These humane programs not only bring immediate value but also contribute to building a long-term future for the younger generation. The gifts will strongly spread the humanitarian movement and affirm the connecting role of the Provincial Red Cross Society in mobilizing social resources to care for the vulnerable.
