Previously, on September 27, Mu Cang Chai district (Yen Bai province) established an inspection team to verify the incident according to the content of the report that VTV posted about students at Mang Mu school and Mo De Kindergarten eating rice only with ginger and salt.
According to the report of the People's Committee of Mu Cang Chai district, the inspection team met directly with the leaders of Mo De commune; leaders and teachers of Mo De Kindergarten; Secretary of the Party Cell of Mang Mu village and some parents of students of Mang Mu village to verify and grasp the information.
Mr. Ho A De, a parent in the report, said: "In order to get my child to school on time, I was in such a hurry that I didn't have time to make extra eggs for my child to bring to school. At the same time, through talking, sharing and partly following the reporter's opinion, I said that about my child bringing lunch boxes to school."
Teacher Nguyen Thi Yen (teacher in the report) shared: "After talking and confiding for more than 1 hour with the reporter and when talking about the difficulties and hardships, when students brought lunch boxes with rice, vegetables and ginger slices to school in the past, the teacher could not hold back her emotions so she spoke and cried like that."
"Implementing the policy, the school organizes lunch for children at the main and separate locations. Children's policies are paid directly to parents when approved and funded.
Specifically, Mang Mu school, due to having a temporary kitchen, only organizes cooking 2 sessions/day on Tuesday and Thursday with the level of 10,000 VND/meal/child (parents contribute food equivalent to 10,000 VND). Every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, when students bring lunch boxes, the school has promoted to parents and called for social mobilization to cook more hot soup to supplement the children's meals. Therefore, on September 23, 2024 (Monday), the VTV reporter team came to the school to make a report, which was the day children brought lunch boxes, the school organized to cook hot soup for the children to eat with the support of teachers.
Through verification and through the practice ofeducational institutions, it shows that the content reflected by VTV1's 24h Movement about the children's lunch at Mang Mu school and Mo De Kindergarten is not comprehensive about the reality at the school facilities," the report of Mu Cang Chai District People's Committee clearly stated.
