The People's Committee of Dinh Cong Ward ( Hanoi ) has just reported on the incident of students acting inappropriately towards teachers at Dai Kim Secondary School.

Accordingly, the People's Committee of Dinh Cong Ward determined that the incident at Dai Kim Secondary School was serious, not only affecting the safety, honor and reputation of teachers but also negatively impacting the educational environment, causing public outrage.

The local government's viewpoint is to ensure fairness, objectivity, and resolutely handle violations to maintain the dignity of teachers and discipline in schools.

However, the People's Committee of Dinh Cong Ward said that it is also necessary to focus on education, helping students clearly recognize their mistakes, have the opportunity to correct and reintegrate into the community, and avoid discrimination or dropping out of school.

After the incident, Dinh Cong ward reported the incident to the authorities to ask for instructions on how to resolve it, and at the same time directed the ward police to promptly investigate the incident and clarify it to ensure the rule of law, thereby deterring and preventing acts of violence or opposition to teachers.

To continue verifying and clarifying the incident, the Ward People's Committee also directed units to closely coordinate with the school and relevant agencies, strengthen school security and safety, build school culture; take measures to provide psychological support for teachers and behavioral counseling for students.

The ward police will continue to verify and clarify related contents, promptly handle any signs of law violations, and coordinate with the school to prevent and not let school violence recur.

For Dai Kim Secondary School, the People's Committee of Dinh Cong Ward has requested to learn from experience in management, strengthen supervision, maintain discipline and classroom rules, and at the same time pay attention to and encourage teachers' spirit, ensuring a safe and healthy teaching environment for the teaching staff. In addition, the school must continue to closely coordinate with parents to educate and correct violations, help students correct mistakes and make progress.

Previously, as VietNamNet reported, the incident happened on the afternoon of September 16, when it was almost break time, teacher TTTH, homeroom teacher of class 7A14, entered the classroom to remind the students.

While giving instructions, Ms. H. saw TMT - the class monitor - holding a sharp toy, so she asked the student to give it to her. Ms. H. announced that she would confiscate the toy because it was dangerous and prohibited by school regulations.

Hearing this, the LGBT student stood up and asked the teacher to return the toy. The teacher firmly refused, raising her hand high to keep it out of the LGBT student's reach.

The LGBT student then pulled the teacher’s hair and even pinned her down to snatch the toy back. The class monitor tried to stop the LGBT student but was unsuccessful, so he told the rest of the class to close the curtains so that students in the hallway would not witness the incident.

Leaving the classroom, Ms. H. immediately reported to the principal. Immediately after, the principal and Ms. H. went into the classroom to ask LGB to apologize in front of the class. At the same time, two students sitting near LGB had to write a report and answer the question: "Why didn't you stop and help the teacher?"

These students said that at that time, LGB was too excited, and their bodies were too fat so they couldn't do anything.

By September 19, the school had disciplined the student and met with the homeroom teacher to encourage him and learn from his experience in handling students who violated discipline.
