The DH03 road section passing through Phu Loc hamlet, Binh Son commune, has been completed and put into use. The total investment cost for the more than 1.5km road was 11 billion VND, of which 3 billion VND came from Binh Son commune. The completed road not only facilitates convenient travel for the people but also contributes to improving the aesthetics and fulfilling the transportation criteria in the construction of a type IV urban area. The project is considered one of the important infrastructure items in the roadmap to transform Binh Son commune into a ward.
Regarding the criteria for a Type IV urban area, Binh Son commune has so far achieved 79 out of 100 points. Of the 13 standards required to become a ward, the locality has completed 11, with two remaining unmet: the percentage of non- agricultural labor and the number of educational facilities meeting standards. The locality is focusing resources on addressing the remaining criteria according to a specific annual roadmap.
Binh Son commune is strengthening vocational training for rural laborers, supporting career guidance, and introducing jobs to accelerate the shift in labor and economic structure. At the same time, the locality is focusing on investing in social infrastructure, upgrading school systems, lighting, and water supply, gradually completing urban criteria.
In the roadmap to transform Binh Son into a ward, the focus is on developing a modern and integrated urban space, improving service quality, and fully meeting urban criteria. The locality aims to form concentrated residential areas and develop commerce and services in conjunction with urban beautification. The planning for commercial and service development along both sides of the Tra Bong River is identified as a key highlight, creating momentum for the formation of a bustling inner-city area in the future.
In addition, Binh Son commune proactively proposed that relevant departments and agencies coordinate and support the procedures, expedite the completion of the dossier, and ensure the establishment of the ward proceeds according to the plan. The coordinated mobilization of resources from the budget, businesses, and the people is identified as a key factor in achieving the goal.
By 2025, the total value of production in Binh Son commune is estimated to reach over 7,000 billion VND. The average growth rate of production value during the 2021-2025 period is 10.6% per year, and the average per capita income is expected to reach 60 million VND per year. These results create a foundation and confidence for the locality to continue its breakthroughs in the coming period.
With the determination of the government and the consensus of the people, Binh Son commune is striving to complete the remaining criteria, aiming to become a ward by 2030, building a locality that is increasingly developed, civilized, and sustainable.
