Hoan Lao Commune: Calling for support of over 120 million VND for people in distress

On July 23, a representative of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hoan Lao commune said that the front and mass organizations have called for support of over 120 million VND for a person in distress.

That is the case of Ms. DTTN, in Ho village, Hoan Lao commune. It is known that Ms. DTTN had a difficult situation, raising a 2-year-old child alone. For the sake of making a living, Ms. DTTN decided to go abroad to work, working in Taiwan to earn money to take care of the life of the mother and child. Unfortunately, after only 4 days away from home, Ms. DTTN became seriously ill and passed away. Currently, Ms. DTTN's body has not been brought back to the country.

Faced with such difficult and painful circumstances, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hoan Lao commune directed relevant mass organizations to proactively call on organizations, individuals, philanthropists... to provide financial support to help Ms. DTTN's family.

After a period of calling for donations, the amount of money raised was more than 120 million VND, of which the Fatherland Front, Women's Union, and Youth Union of Ho village raised nearly 66 million VND; the Women's Union of Hoan Lao commune raised over 30.8 million VND; the Youth Union of Hoan Lao commune raised 23.3 million VND. This amount of money was handed over to the representative of Ms. DTTN's family, with the hope that the family would have more motivation to overcome this difficult period.
