Striving for an average income per capita of 80 million VND per year is one of the goals approved by the People's Council of Thuong Hong commune.

At the meeting on the morning of July 30, the People's Council of Thuong Hong commune (Hai Phong) identified many economic growth targets.

In 2025, the commune strives for an industrial, handicraft and construction growth rate of 12-14%; a trade and service growth rate of 13-15%; and a growth rate of agriculture and fishery of 1-2%.

The commune strives for an average income per capita of 80 million VND.

To achieve the above goals, from now until the end of the year, Thuong Hong commune will implement many solutions, including planning and expanding concentrated and safe production areas towards quality goods according to green and clean production criteria, promoting the main strengths of the locality. Promoting the connection of enterprises to consume agricultural products in the commune. Promoting the connection between distributors and farmers in agricultural production areas. Effectively implementing activities to support export enterprises and introducing and selling quality products and brands in the area...

According to the report of the People's Committee of Thuong Hong commune on the results of the implementation of the socio-economic development plan in the first 6 months of the year; key tasks in the last 6 months of 2025, the total income of the commune in the first 6 months of 2025 is estimated at 968.7 billion VND. Of which, revenue from agricultural and aquatic production is estimated at 213.8 billion VND; revenue from industrial production, small-scale industry, construction is estimated at 270.3 billion VND; revenue from commercial production and services is estimated at 484.4 billion VND. Average income per capita is 39.4 million VND/person/6 months.

Thuong Hong commune has a natural area of 24.01km², a population of 24,584 people, established on the basis of merging the entire area of Binh Xuyen commune and part of the natural area of the communes: Thai Hoa, Thai Duong, Tan Hong, Thai Minh, Thuc Khang (old Binh Giang district) along with part of the two communes Doan Tung and Thanh Tung (old Thanh Mien district).
