The "Mid-Autumn Lantern Procession 2023" festival in Dong Mon commune, Ha Tinh city, created a joyful and exciting atmosphere, attracting a large number of people, including children and teenagers.
On the evening of September 27th, the People's Committee of Dong Mon commune organized the "Mid-Autumn Lantern Procession 2023" festival.
Starting from small-scale processions around the villages during the Mid-Autumn Festival, this year, the people of Dong Mon commune organized a large-scale, well-organized lantern procession. Nine processions from villages throughout the commune participated in the festival.
The lantern models are elaborately designed, inspired by the 12 zodiac animals, fairy tales, and more. In the photo: A model of the Truong Sa (Spratly) Islands sovereignty marker is brought into the procession by residents of Tien Tien village.
The Mid-Autumn Festival lantern procession passed through Dong Mon Street, Ngo Quyen Street, etc. In the photo: A dragon mascot, over 10 meters long and 1 meter wide, made by residents of Thang Loi village, participating in the parade.
The parade also included lion and dragon dance troupes.
The lantern models designed by the locals are whimsical and appealing to children. Nguyen Thao Ha (Thang Loi village, Dong Mon commune) expressed: "These Mid-Autumn lanterns are beautiful. I really like these models."
Everyone seemed excited to participate in the lantern procession. Mr. Phan Dang Hai (Thach Trung commune, Ha Tinh city) shared: "My family brought my grandchild here early. This year's lantern models are designed to be bigger and more beautiful. The lively atmosphere makes everyone very happy."
Many people from within and outside the commune, along with children, gathered to admire the brightly lit lanterns in the night street.
The lantern procession is not only a playground for children but also leaves many lasting impressions in the hearts of every citizen about the vibrant and colorful night festival.
