On the morning of February 12th, at the Department of Science and Technology of Ca Mau province, the Sub-Department of Standards, Metrology and Quality organized a ceremony to present the decision establishing the record for "Largest Ca Mau Crab in Vietnam" to Du Thai Binh Co., Ltd.
Previously, the Vietnam Record Establishment Council issued a decision recognizing the record for "Largest Ca Mau Crab in Vietnam," owned by Du Thai Binh Co., Ltd.
According to Decision No. 3450/KLVN/2025 dated December 16, 2025, of the Vietnam Institute of Records, the crab was recognized as a record-breaking specimen weighing 1.82 kg and with a carapace width of 19.97 cm. This result was recorded at the 2025 Ca Mau Crab Record Establishment Competition, after a process of direct verification, comparison, and assessment.

Mr. Du Thai Binh, Deputy Director of Du Thai Binh Co., Ltd. (Nam Can commune, Ca Mau province), said that the Department of Standards, Metrology and Quality organized the awarding of the decision to establish the record for "Largest Ca Mau crab in Vietnam" to the company. This is a great honor for the business, especially as it is the first unit in Vietnam to be awarded a record prize for crab products, especially crabs from Ca Mau province.
According to Mr. Binh, in the coming time, the company will continue to promote the Ca Mau crab brand. At the same time, it will focus on improving quality, aiming to build the "best, cleanest, and largest crab product in Vietnam," contributing to elevating the status of the local specialty in domestic and international markets.
"Currently, Du Thai Binh Company Limited's crabs have been exported to markets such as China, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Dubai, Cambodia, and Thailand... and we are currently negotiating exports to the South Korean market," Mr. Binh added.
