Closely adhering to the characteristics of the situation and the requirements and tasks, over the years, the Party Committee of Brigade 172, Region 3 of the Navy, has focused on building a strong Party Committee in terms of politics and ideology, and exemplary in morality. Annually, Party committees and organizations at all levels within Brigade 172 have consistently emphasized strengthening political education. Many forms and methods of education have been effectively implemented, with a focus on thoroughly understanding and effectively implementing the "Innovation in Political Education in the New Period" project. Leaders and commanders at all levels regularly conduct effective ideological work; innovate the content and methods of implementation; especially at the grassroots level, effectively implementing the "5 proactive approaches" in ideological work; closely combining "construction" and "combat," combining ideological work with organizational and policy work, and combining persuasive education with administrative measures, prioritizing education and persuasion to prevent violations. Promoting the role of organizations and forces in managing, educating, and training cadres and Party members... This helps cadres and Party members clearly understand the goals and ideals of the Party; the tasks of the Party Committee and the Brigade; the conspiracies and subversive tactics of hostile forces; and the requirements and tasks of protecting maritime sovereignty and islands in the new situation...

Alongside political education , the Party Committee of Brigade 172 also focuses on building exemplary Party committees and organizations at all levels; regularly disseminating and strictly implementing resolutions and directives on Party building and rectification, with a focus on Conclusion No. 21-KL/TW of the Central Committee (13th term) on strengthening Party building and rectification and the political system; resolutely preventing, repelling, and strictly handling cadres and Party members who have degenerated in political ideology, morality, and lifestyle, and exhibiting "self-evolution" and "self-transformation". At the same time, it strengthens the implementation of Directive 05-CT/TW of the Politburo on promoting the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style; effectively implements the campaign to promote traditions, contribute talents, and live up to the name of "Uncle Ho's Soldiers" in the new era, Resolution No. 847 of the Central Military Commission on promoting the qualities of "Uncle Ho's Soldiers", and resolutely combats individualism in the new situation,...

Colonel Nguyen Thien Quan, Commander of Naval Region 3, delivered a speech at the expanded meeting of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Brigade 172.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Xuan Hoa, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of Brigade 172, the aforementioned contents have created a widespread movement for cadres and Party members to "self-reflect" and "self-correct." Thanks to this, Party committees and organizations at all levels, as well as the Brigade's cadres and Party members, remain steadfast in Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh Thought, and the Party's guidelines and viewpoints; they clearly identify and distinguish partners and adversaries, avoiding ambiguity and vigilance against the schemes and tactics of hostile forces; and they highly uphold the responsibility of setting an example in fulfilling the task of protecting the sovereignty of the nation's seas and islands.

Furthermore, a highlight of Party building work in Brigade 172 is that the Brigade Party Committee consistently emphasizes Party principles and discipline in Party activities and life, ensuring leadership that is directional, practical, and effective. It resolutely combats and strictly handles manifestations of bureaucracy, lack of democracy, formal democracy, authoritarianism, paternalism, and the "achievement-oriented" mentality. At the same time, it continuously cultivates scientific and principled working methods and practices; effectively promotes the role and responsibility of cadres and Party members (matching words with actions, setting an example for the masses, being responsible to the unit, etc.). As a result, cadres and Party members consistently complete their work quickly and efficiently, overcoming passive and uncreative working styles. Annually, over 90% of Party organizations successfully complete their tasks. In 2024 alone, 100% of Party organizations successfully completed their tasks (22.2% successfully completed their tasks). The Brigade Party Committee successfully completed its tasks; 100% of Party members completed their tasks or better, with 95.5% completing them well or excellently.

It is evident that, with specific solutions in conducting Party building work, the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party committees and organizations under the Party Committee of Brigade 172 have been continuously enhanced. For many consecutive years, the Brigade has consistently fulfilled its central political tasks: training, combat readiness; patrolling and managing the assigned sea area. The cadres and Party members possess firm political resolve, moral character, lifestyle, capabilities, and qualifications that meet the requirements and tasks, and are ready to accept and successfully complete all assignments. Through this, they have made a significant contribution to the cause of protecting the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland's seas and islands.
