Speaking at the conference, Lieutenant General Truong Thien To, Deputy Head of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army, emphasized that the country is entering "an era of national resurgence".
In this context, hostile, reactionary, and politically opportunistic forces continue to intensify their "peaceful evolution" plot, thoroughly exploiting sensitive and complex issues in social life, as well as difficulties and limitations in the development process, to distort and deny the Party's ideological foundation, incite skepticism and internal divisions, and undermine the trust of cadres, Party members, and the people.

Subversive activities are becoming increasingly non-linear, multi-layered, diverse in form, and sophisticated in tactics.
"The impacts of the new era of development demand that protecting the Party's ideological foundation and combating erroneous and hostile viewpoints is not merely a regular task, but a vital requirement for political stability, the Party's strength, and the country's sustainable development," General Truong Thien To stated.
He hoped that the seminar would spread the positive values of the nation, and the guidelines, policies, and strategies of the Party, to a large number of cadres, Party members, and the people.
The seminar attracted opinions and 60 presentations from experts and scientists . Besides focusing on identifying and refuting erroneous and hostile viewpoints, the opinions offered solutions to link the protection of the Party's ideological foundation with Party building and rectification; strengthening internal political security and protecting state secrets; building a solid foundation of public support; consolidating social trust; and perfecting institutions, policies, and laws to meet the requirements of development in the new era.
