Developing a planning scheme for TKV's coal mining areas in Quang Ninh.

The planning unit, the Mining and Industrial Investment Consulting Joint Stock Company, mentioned the current state of coal production by TKV in Quang Ninh . Through exploration work, the Dong Trieu area has 4 mineral deposits, with 5 exploration projects, totaling nearly 700 million tons of resources; the Uong Bi area has 4 mineral deposits, with 5 exploration projects, totaling over 722 million tons of resources; the Hon Gai area has 6 mineral deposits, with 6 exploration projects, totaling nearly 781 million tons of resources; and the Cam Pha area has 8 mineral deposits, with 5 exploration projects, totaling over 1.1 billion tons of resources.

In his remarks, Deputy General Director of TKV Phan Xuan Thuy emphasized the important role of planning the development of TKV's coal mining areas in Quang Ninh province for the production of its units, in line with TKV's development roadmap.

Mr. Phan Xuan Thuy also requested that units identify planning work as an extremely important political task; coordinate and work with localities to implement and resolve issues related to planning, review projects, resolve overlapping exploitation, waste disposal planning, exploration drilling projects, regional linkages, etc.

At the same time, relevant units should promptly develop plans and strategic development orientations regarding land, infrastructure, resources, human resources, investment, and mining project development up to 2030 and beyond, ensuring the maintenance and development of production.

TKV identifies planning as an extremely important political task.

Currently, the investment and production activities of mining projects by units within TKV include 31 mines (1 mine completed, 4 new mines); 64 projects (2 completed, 32 underway, 9 in the investment preparation phase, 21 yet to be implemented); and mining output in 2024 reaching nearly 36 million tons (of which underground mining accounts for over 27 million tons).

Coal screening and processing are carried out in various locations, including sorting plants and smaller screening clusters, screening workshops, and mine screening clusters in the Cam Pha, Hon Gai, Uong Bi, and Dong Trieu areas. Coal transportation includes conveyor systems inside and outside the mine, railway systems, and trucks.

The port system comprises 6 ports with a capacity of over 35 million tons/year and 1 transshipment port serving coal import and export. Regarding land use, the Hon Gai area covers over 3,500 hectares; the Cam Pha area nearly 7,865 hectares; the Uong Bi area over 4,700 hectares; the Dong Trieu area nearly 4,150 hectares, etc.
