TPO – The Disciplinary Council of the Thanh Hoa Department of Health is considering disciplining Mr. Nguyen Huy Van, former Director of Muong Lat District General Hospital, for signing internship confirmations for 18 students from Hanoi Medical College, even though these students did not intern at the unit.
Previously, on May 22, 2024, the Director of Thanh Hoa Department of Health issued Decision No. 614/QD-SYT to establish an Inspection Team to verify information containing accusations against Mr. Nguyen Huy Van, former Director of Muong Lat General Hospital, about receiving money and confirming graduation internship for 18 students of class K19SNB01 of Hanoi College of Medicine and Pharmacy.
In document No. 3620/KL-SYT dated July 5, 2024 of Thanh Hoa Department of Health, the results of working directly with 17 former students and online with 1 former student currently living in Japan, with attached reports, determined: The students did not practice at Muong Lat General Hospital during the period from June 6, 2022 to August 13, 2022.
Thanh Hoa Department of Health determined that Mr. Nguyen Huy Van, former Director of Muong Lat General Hospital; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Trung, Head of Surgery Department; Mr. Vu Dinh Thai, Head of Obstetrics Department; Mr. Vu Van Sy, Head of Emergency - Pediatrics Department; Mr. Tang Van Chay, Nurse of Surgery Department signed to confirm the internship period from June 6, 2022 to August 13, 2022 in the Graduation Internship Evaluation Form for 18 students of class K19SNB01, Hanoi College of Medicine and Pharmacy, but in fact the students did not practice at Muong Lat General Hospital. The use of the Graduation Internship Evaluation Form of 18 students is illegal.
Through the verification results of the authorities with the related people, it was determined that there was no basis or evidence to conclude that Mr. Nguyen Huy Van and Mr. Tang Van Chay had violated the law by receiving money from students of class K19SNB0. Based on the above verification results, the Disciplinary Council is considering disciplinary action against Mr. Nguyen Huy Van, former Director of Muong Lat District General Hospital.
Previously, the Department of Health organized a review of Mr. Nguyen Huy Van, former Director of Muong Lat General Hospital according to Conclusion No. 4715/KL-SYT dated October 16, 2023.
As Tien Phong reported, in addition to the above violations, the Thanh Hoa health sector also verified that Muong Lat District General Hospital had paid the wrong amount, the wrong subjects receiving toxic and dangerous allowances; paid preferential allowances from revenue sources exceeding the prescribed level (20%) and spent a total of more than 911 million VND from the wrong source.
