Recently, a leak from analyst Ming-chi Kuo revealed some interesting news regarding the Xiaomi 16 Pro. According to the leak, the device may feature a 3D-printed frame.

However, 3D printing isn't necessarily the most efficient manufacturing process because it creates objects layer by layer, slowing down production. Additionally, its production costs can be higher than other conventional methods.
But Kuo suggests that smartphone manufacturers could adopt 3D printing technology more widely if its advantages outweigh the disadvantages, especially in applications where efficiency isn't the primary concern.
Previously, leaker Digital Chat Station stated that the Xiaomi 16 Pro would feature a flat screen with ultra-thin bezels that are uniform on all four sides. The screen could be a 6.85-inch LTPO OLED panel with 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
Notably, this screen is equipped with LIPO technology, resulting in thinner and more symmetrical bezels. The leaker also claims that the Xiaomi 16 Pro's screen bezels will surpass those of the iPhone 16 Pro – rumored to have the thinnest bezels in the world .
The Xiaomi 16 Pro is expected to launch with the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor in October 2025.
