In the field of counterfeit goods and intellectual property infringement, 44 cases were detected, resulting in administrative fines of 420 million VND and the forced destruction of infringing goods worth approximately 290 million VND.
Notably, violations in business operations accounted for a large proportion. Common offenses included trading goods of unknown origin; violating regulations on product labeling; failing to display signs stating "No tobacco products sold to persons under 18 years of age" at retail outlets; and failing to publicly display pharmaceutical practice certificates as required.
Authorities have handled 180 violations in this category, with total fines exceeding 900 million VND and confiscated goods valued at over 112 million VND.
The above results demonstrate the proactive and decisive efforts of functional forces in market management. In the coming time, units will continue to strengthen inspection and supervision, focusing on essential goods and sensitive areas; at the same time, they will promote propaganda work and raise awareness of law compliance among business organizations and individuals, aiming to build a healthy, transparent and sustainable market.
