Many dental clinics and individuals were fined for violations.

On July 20th, information from the Inspectorate of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health indicated that between July 12th and 14th, they had fined numerous dental clinics and individuals for violations in medical examination and treatment activities.

Specifically, DJ International Dental Company Limited (located at 132 3/2 Street, Ward 12, District 10, Ho Chi Minh City) was fined 90 million VND and suspended from operation for 18 months for providing medical examination and treatment services without a medical examination and treatment operating license.

In addition, Mr. Bui Van Duan, Director of DJ International Dental Company Limited, was fined 43 million VND for practicing medicine without a professional license. Besides the fine, he was also ordered to return the illegal profits of 8 million VND obtained from the violation.

Two employees of this clinic, Mr. Vu Huu Thanh and Mr. Tran Huu Nhan, were also fined 35.2 million VND and 36.5 million VND respectively for examining and treating patients without a valid practice certificate.

The Inspectorate of the Department of Health also fined HELIA Dental and Cosmetic Company Limited (Dental and Maxillofacial Clinic) at 3 Tran Thien Chanh Street, Ward 12, District 10, Ho Chi Minh City, 4 million VND for listing the names of departments and wards in the medical examination and treatment facility incorrectly according to the operating license issued by the competent authority.

In addition, Ms. Hoang Thi Hai Ha (a nurse) was fined 35 million VND for examining and treating patients beyond the scope of her professional practice as stated in her medical practice certificate, except in emergency cases and cases where additional specialized techniques are permitted by law. Her medical practice certificate was revoked for 23 months.

The Inspectorate of the Department of Health also fined Mr. Nguyen Chien, the owner of a beauty salon at 2/2A Tang Bat Ho Street, Ward 11, Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City, 40 million VND for providing medical examination and treatment services without a license. The establishment's medical examination and treatment activities were also suspended for 12 months.
