Xuan Son returns to Nam Dinh Club from Brazil

After returning to Brazil to rest and treat his injury, naturalized striker Nguyen Xuan Son returned to Nam Dinh Club to continue training.

On September 1, Nguyen Xuan Son and his family returned to Vietnam after more than a month in Brazil. The striker born in 1997 quickly arrived in Nam Dinh to join the club and return to his usual routine of living and training.

Through the training video shared by Nam Dinh Club on September 2, Xuan Son showed his ability to practice with the ball at high intensity.

Accordingly, he can run, move flexibly between markers and pass the ball with both feet. In the coming time, this player will continue to improve his speed, endurance and strength, while regaining the feeling of playing football at high speed.

Xuan Son is trying to return to his highest level since the injury he suffered in January this year at the ASEAN Cup 2024 final. Since the surgery, Son has spent 8 months recovering and practicing rehabilitation.

Nam Dinh Club is not in a hurry with Xuan Son's case, so they did not register him to compete in the first leg of V-League 2025 - 2026.

Recently, the team hired a specialist to guide Xuan Son and Nam Dinh's injured players in their recovery exercises.

It is expected that by the end of the year, or at the latest early next year, Xuan Son will be able to compete again. The absence of Xuan Son is a great loss for Nam Dinh Club and the Vietnam national team. This player is very determined to help the Vietnam national team revive the hope of winning a ticket to the 2027 Asian Cup.
