1,000 women parade and form a map of Vietnam in ao dai

NDO - On March 29, at Hoan Kiem Lake walking street, Ly Thai To monument (Hoan Kiem, Hanoi), Vietnam Women's Newspaper organized the Ao Dai Parade and Ao Dai map of Vietnam.

This event is to commemorate the 1985th anniversary of the Hai Ba Trung Uprising, the 115th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8, 1910 - March 8, 2025), the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (1930-2025) and major national holidays in 2025, while responding to the "Ao Dai Week" launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union nationwide.

Attending the Ao Dai Parade on March 29 were more than 1,000 women, including leaders and officials of the Vietnam Women's Union, officials and members of the Hanoi Women's Union, guests, officials and students of the Vietnam Women's Academy.

Leaders of the Vietnam Women's Union participated in the parade.

Speaking at the event, Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Huong, Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union emphasized: "The Ao Dai parade of students is a special highlight of this year's event. When wearing the traditional Ao Dai, students not only honor the beauty of national culture but also feel more clearly the pride of continuing good values."

As one of the delegates participating in the parade, Miss Vietnamese Women through Photos 2017 Vu Huong Giang expressed: “Witnessing thousands of people shining in Ao Dai, I was truly moved. Ao Dai carries the cultural and spiritual values of Vietnamese women. Wearing Ao Dai, I feel proud and happy to contribute to spreading the love for this traditional costume.”

A special part of the parade was the formation of a map of Vietnam by 500 female students of the Vietnam Women's Academy in ao dai with a red flag and yellow star.

Initiated in 2019, “Ao Dai Week” has contributed to inspiring and spreading meaningful, positive messages about love, national pride, the country, people and Vietnamese Ao Dai to the public. Since then, every March, women across the country have enthusiastically welcomed and organized many diverse and creative activities to honor the value of Vietnamese Ao Dai.

Vietnamese women are proud of the Vietnamese ao dai and the Vietnamese ao dai is continuing on the journey to affirm its role and position in the social community, with Vietnamese women firmly entering a new era, an era of national growth.
