One of the requirements for organizing the National Great Unity Day 2024 in Bac Giang province is to be practical, have strong influence, deepen national sentiment, solidarity, and overcome natural disasters together.
Mr. Dinh Duc Canh - Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee said that Bac Giang is a locality that suffered relatively large damage caused by storm No. 3 (Yagi). In order to promptly encourage and motivate people of all walks of life in the province to enthusiastically compete in labor and production to fulfill the socio -economic development goals in 2024, practically celebrate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National United Front - the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and welcome the success of the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024 - 2029, the Bac Giang Provincial Fatherland Front has guided and directed the Fatherland Front at all levels and 100% of the Residential Area Front Working Committees to organize the Great Unity Festival.
Through the festival, the Fatherland Front at all levels and the Residential Area Front Working Committee clearly assessed the results and commended outstanding collectives, families and individuals in implementing the Campaign "All people unite to build new villages and civilized urban areas", "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" and the emulation movement "Creative solidarity"; commended self-management models in villages, hamlets and neighborhoods chaired by the Front. In addition, activities of visiting and giving gifts to poor households and households in especially difficult circumstances; presenting Great Solidarity houses, mobilizing and supporting the construction of the "For the Poor" Fund... were also promoted, making the Festival more vivid and meaningful.
In residential areas, on the occasion of the festival, people have renovated their houses, cleaned village roads and alleys, and decorated residential areas to be spacious and clean. Within the framework of the festival, activities were held enthusiastically, with many meaningful and practical activities imbued with traditional features such as: Movement "Building cultural families"; cultural villages and residential groups; "Commune meeting new rural cultural standards", "Wards and towns meeting urban civilized standards"; cultural and artistic exchanges took place enthusiastically and attractively with the sound of drums and cheers... Through the activities during the festival, it has contributed to making the cultural and social environment healthy, social evils have significantly decreased, conflicts in families and residential areas have been basically resolved through mediation at the grassroots level.
Mr. Dinh Duc Canh added that with diverse forms of organization, practical, lively and meaningful activities, the National Great Unity Day in Bac Giang province has attracted an increasing number of cadres, party members and people from all walks of life to participate. Through the festival, the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws are disseminated to the people, on that basis, the people are discussed and directly participated. From there, it has created conditions for promoting the people's right to direct mastery. All people are able to express their thoughts and aspirations, and give their opinions to contribute to building a cultural community.
“The National Great Unity Day in residential areas is also the most abundant and accurate information channel from the community. It is the basis for the Party Committee and government to listen to people's opinions, thereby issuing mechanisms and policies suitable to the reality of people's lives,” Mr. Canh emphasized.
In 2024, the Party Delegation of the Bac Giang Provincial Fatherland Front Committee directed and guided the Fatherland Front at all levels and the Front Work Committee to organize the National Great Unity Day in 100% of residential areas; encouraged residential areas to organize both the ceremony and the festival. The Bac Giang Provincial Fatherland Front Committee invited provincial leaders to attend the Festival in 16 residential areas. Districts, towns and cities organized 225 delegations to attend the Festival in residential areas.
