Colonel Lu Van Hoan – Superintendent of the Provincial Police Prison – announced Decision No. 751/QD-CTN dated May 26, 2026, of the President of Vietnam on the amnesty in 2026.
According to Decision No. 751/QD-CTN dated May 26, 2026, of the President of Vietnam on amnesty in 2026, 13 inmates serving sentences at the Lai Chau Provincial Police Detention Center are eligible for amnesty. These inmates have shown significant effort in rehabilitation, strictly adhered to the rules and regulations of the detention facility, actively participated in learning and labor, and fulfilled all their obligations as stipulated by law.

Colonel Le Anh Hung, Deputy Director of the Lai Chau Provincial Police, presented the amnesty decisions to the prisoners.

The head of the Department of Justice presented the pardon decisions to the prisoners.

The leaders of the Provincial People's Procuracy presented the amnesty decisions to the prisoners.
At the ceremony, eligible inmates received their pardon decisions. They also expressed their emotion and gratitude for the humane and lenient policies of the Party and the State; and pledged that upon returning to their localities, they would strictly abide by the law, actively engage in labor and production, quickly stabilize their lives, and become useful citizens to society.

Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Le Anh Hung, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, emphasized that amnesty is a special policy of leniency from the Party and the State, reflecting the profound humanitarian and humane traditions of the Vietnamese people towards those who have committed crimes but show remorse, actively work, study, and make progress in their rehabilitation. This is not only a recognition of the prisoners' efforts but also opens up opportunities for them to return to their families, reintegrate into the community, and rebuild their lives.
The implementation of the 2026 amnesty further affirms the humane and lenient policy of the Party and State towards those who repent, while also contributing to motivating prisoners currently serving sentences to actively study, work, and reform themselves, striving to soon receive the leniency of the law and become useful members of their families and society.
