On the morning of September 27, Associate Professor, Doctor Tran Kiem Hao, Director of the Hue City Department of Health, said that the unit had sent a working group to coordinate with the People's Committee of Phu Vang commune to collect samples and handle the suspected food poisoning incident that had just occurred in the area, causing 14 local residents to be hospitalized.
According to the Department of Health, the incident occurred on September 23 in Phu Vang commune, causing 14 people to be hospitalized at Phu Vang Medical Center. Among them, an 8-week pregnant woman was diagnosed with food poisoning and transferred to Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital for treatment.
Currently, all patients' health is stable, 9 people have been discharged from the hospital (including the pregnant woman).
Suspected cases of food poisoning are linked to the consumption of bread at a facility in Thanh Lam Bo village, Phu Vang commune.
Hue City Health Day issues guidance documents, organizes training courses, propagates food poisoning prevention and control for the community and inspects food production, processing and trading establishments to detect and handle violations in the process of food production, processing and trading./.
