Previously, a 44-second audio recording appeared on social media, allegedly recording the scene at the school's medical room. The clip featured the principal, vice principal, school health staff, homeroom teachers, and many students showing unusual signs. Notably, the voice said to be that of Ms. D.THH (Vice Principal) affirmed that "they were not taken to the hospital" even though the medical staff suggested that the students be immediately transferred to a medical facility. Specifically, in the conversation said to be that of Ms. H. speaking to a man (said to be Mr. D.VM, Principal of Kim Thuy Primary Boarding School), there was a passage: "I confirm 100% that the students are fine. Do not take them to the hospital. Leave them there. There is no problem at all."
Kim Ngan Commune People's Committee affirmed that it will coordinate with functional agencies to clarify responsibilities and handle them according to regulations.
According to Le Thuy Regional General Hospital, as of September 27, the students’ health had stabilized after receiving IV fluids and antibiotics. Doctors diagnosed the students with symptoms of gastroenteritis, suspected to be caused by poisoning.
Previously, at around 8am on September 26, after a meal at Kim Thuy Primary Boarding School, many students suffered from stomach aches, vomiting, and diarrhea. Afterwards, the school coordinated with the authorities and parents to mobilize vehicles to take 40 students to Le Thuy Regional General Hospital for examination and treatment.
