Specifically, medical facilities in the province shall not supply or use drugs that are not licensed for circulation and drugs on the List of counterfeit drugs as notified by the Department of Drug Administration in Official Dispatch No. 1135/QLD-CL dated April 19, 2025; shall not prescribe or indicate the use of drugs that are not licensed for circulation according to the provisions of the law on pharmaceuticals in medical examination and treatment.


In particular, there is no phenomenon of medical staff consulting, introducing, or selling dairy products (especially fake dairy products discovered by the investigation agency), functional foods of unknown origin, source... to patients or their relatives.

Previously, on April 22, the Department of Health issued Document No. 999/SYT-NVD requesting directors of medical examination and treatment facilities to urgently inspect, supervise, and rectify the implementation of regulations on prescription, indication, and use of drugs; the consumption of non-drug products such as milk, functional foods, etc. at the facility; at the same time, thoroughly grasp and disseminate legal regulations, timely information to raise awareness and sense of responsibility of medical staff, patients, and patients' relatives in participating in detecting and combating violations; requesting reports on inspection, review, and handling results to the Department of Health for consideration.
Pharmaceutical businesses and facilities are not allowed to trade, sell or use the following counterfeit products:
- Clorocid TW3 tablets (Cloramphenicol 250mg), Registration number: VD-25305-16, Manufacturer: TW 3 Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company, packaged in plastic bottles of 400 tablets.
- Tetracycline TW3 tablets (Tetracycline hydrochloride 250mg), Registration number: VD-28109-17, Manufacturer: TW 3 Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company, packaged in plastic bottles of 400 tablets.
- Pharcoter tablets (Codein base 10mg; Terpin hydrate 100mg), Registration number: VD-14429-11, Manufacturer: Central Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company 1 (Pharbaco), packaged in plastic bottles of 400 tablets.
- Counterfeit Neo-Codion drug product (Note: Neo-Codion drug is licensed for circulation by the Ministry of Health with the following official information: Circulation license number: 300111082223 (Old registration number: VN-18966-15); Active ingredient: Codein base (as Codein camphosulfonate 25mg) 14.93mg; Sulfogaiacol 100mg; Grindelia soft extract 20mg; Dosage form: Sugar-coated tablets; Packaging: Box of 2 blisters x 10 tablets; Manufacturer: Sophartex Company (France), address: 21, rue du Pressoir, Vernouillet, 28500).
