"Mid-Autumn Festival for Children" is one of the major annual voluntary blood donation programs held during the Mid-Autumn Festival, organized by the 24/01 Youth Blood Donation Movement Branch under the professional sponsorship of the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion.

2024 marks the 12th time the program has been organized. Besides the three main days of the event, there are also many accompanying programs and events such as: Biggame Green Rice, The Beauty of Green Rice, Mid-Autumn Festival Night… with the desire to connect loving hearts with child patients in need of blood.

During nearly two months of preparation and organization, more than 2,500 people participated in the program, including nearly 500 volunteers along with many ambassadors and guests such as: Miss Ngoc Han, actress Bao Thanh, actress La Thanh Huyen, and child actors: An Nhien, Gia Nghia, Camy Khanh An…

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the 2024 Mid-Autumn Festival blood donation event for children, Mr. Trinh Xuan Thuy, Chairman of the Hanoi Youth Blood Donation Movement Association, said: “During the three days of the event, the program collected impressive numbers; 457 units on the first day, 531 units on the second day, and especially 1,089 units of blood were received on the last day.”

Many artists participated in the blood donation program.

"Achieving these results required the dedication and unity of the entire organizing committee. I hope that after this series of activities, the volunteers will become more mature, enthusiastic, and open-minded in life."

During the event, Hanoi and other northern provinces and cities were severely affected and damaged by storms, floods, and other tragic events, but people still participated in blood donation enthusiastically with the belief: "We donate blood because we want to help the children have a peaceful Mid-Autumn Festival."
