2 Vietnamese representatives surpassed the US, China and Germany

Hanoi's Noi Bai International Airport and Da Nang International Airport are among the world's top 100 airports in 2024, according to the list compiled by UK-based aviation consultancy Skytrax.

The Skytrax rankings were announced on April 17 at the World Airport Awards ceremony in Frankfurt, Germany. The results are based on data collected from August 2023 to March 2024, from passengers from more than 100 countries and territories.

There were 570 airports worldwide included in the survey. Passengers who participated in the survey answered a variety of airport-related questions. Among the factors evaluated were how quickly they passed through security, the quality and variety of airport food, and more.

According to the list, Noi Bai airport ranked 96th, up 31 places compared to 2023. Meanwhile, Da Nang airport ranked 94th, also rising from 111th place last year.

This result not only helps two representatives from Vietnam enter the Top 100 best airports in the world, but also surpasses airports from the US, China and Germany, which are ranked 97th to 100th respectively.

This is the 6th time Noi Bai airport has been included in Skytrax's evaluation list, from 2016 to 2020 and 2024.

Previously, Hanoi 's capital airport was also ranked 6th in the global ranking of airports with the best Wi-Fi connection in 2024 according to Skytrax Airline, the unit that publishes the list of 20 global airports with the best Wi-Fi connection every year.

The airport provides passengers with seamless and reliable internet access, thereby improving the overall travel experience of the visitors.

Previously, the international terminal of Da Nang International Airport became the first and only terminal in Vietnam to be rated 5 stars by Skytrax after continuous efforts to improve infrastructure and enhance passenger experience.

The airport was also named among the world's 10 most improved airports and among the best regional airports in Asia in the 2023 Skytrax World Airport Awards.

Also notable in this year's rankings is that Singapore's Changi Airport lost the top spot to Doha Hamad International Airport (Qatar).

This year, Doha Hamad Airport took the top spot thanks to its ultra-modern design with high-end shopping areas. In addition, the terminals are designed to be easy to navigate and locate, not confusing like some other places, creating convenience for passengers.
