2 communes meet model new rural standards

On the afternoon of October 21, comrade Tran Anh Dung - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Appraisal Council for the recognition of advanced new rural communes and model new rural communes in the period of 2021-2025 of the province chaired the conference to review and recognize two communes Giao Thien (Giao Thuy district) and Truc Chinh (Truc Ninh district) meeting the model new rural standards in 2023.

Previously, on October 17, 2024, the Provincial Survey and Appraisal Team conducted a survey and appraisal of the documents and actual standard levels of Giao Thien and Truc Chinh communes.

The results show that both communes have met 4/4 conditions for recognition as a model NTM commune as prescribed in Clause 1, Article 4 of Decision No. 18/2022/QD-TTg dated August 2, 2022 of the Prime Minister; fully meeting the standard level according to the requirements of the regulations on model NTM communes on agricultural production in the period of 2021-2025; average income per capita in 2023 reached over 83 million VND.

Both communes have smart village models that ensure compliance with the criteria; there are no outstanding debts in basic construction under the National Target Program on New Rural Construction as of December 31, 2023.

The satisfaction rate of local people with the results of building a model new rural area in Truc Chinh commune reached 99.86%; Giao Thien commune reached over 95%, meeting the requirements according to regulations. The two communes are not complicated in terms of security and order according to the regulations of the Ministry of Public Security .

Truc Chinh commune meets the model NTM standard with outstanding achievements in the field of Digital Transformation; Giao Thien commune meets the model NTM standard with outstanding achievements in the fieldof Education .

Concluding the conference, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Dung requested leaders of departments and branches, members of the Provincial Appraisal Council, to strictly comply with regulations in reviewing, appraising and recognizing Truc Chinh and Giao Thien communes as meeting model NTM standards.

Localities continue to uphold their sense of responsibility, focus on mobilizing resources to maintain and improve the quality of model NTM criteria.

Departments, branches, Truc Ninh and Giao Thuy districts and the Provincial New Rural Area Coordination Office focus on completing documents according to regulations to submit to the Provincial People's Committee to issue a decision to recognize 2 communes meeting model new rural standards in 2023.
