2 communes have achieved the standard of model new rural areas.

On the afternoon of October 21st, Comrade Tran Anh Dung - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and Chairman of the Appraisal Council for the Recognition of Advanced New Rural Communes and Model New Rural Communes for the 2021-2025 period - chaired a meeting to review and recognize Giao Thien commune (Giao Thuy district) and Truc Chinh commune (Truc Ninh district) as achieving the model new rural commune standard in 2023.

Previously, on October 17, 2024, the provincial survey and assessment team conducted a survey and assessment of the dossiers and the actual achievement levels of Giao Thien and Truc Chinh communes.

The results show that both communes have met all four conditions for recognition as model new rural communes as stipulated in Clause 1, Article 4 of Decision No. 18/2022/QD-TTg dated August 2, 2022, of the Prime Minister; fully met the required standards for model new rural communes in agricultural production for the 2021-2025 period; and the average per capita income in 2023 reached over 83 million VND.

Both communes have smart village models that meet the criteria requirements; there are no outstanding debts for basic construction under the National Target Program for New Rural Development as of December 31, 2023.

The satisfaction rate of local residents with the results of building model new rural areas in Truc Chinh commune reached 99.86%; Giao Thien commune reached over 95%, meeting the requirements as stipulated. Both communes are not considered to have complex security and order issues according to the regulations of the Ministry of Public Security .

Truc Chinh commune achieved the model new rural standard with outstanding achievements in the field of digital transformation; Giao Thien commune achieved the model new rural standard with outstanding achievements in the field of education .

Concluding the conference, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Dung requested the leaders of the departments and agencies that are members of the Provincial Appraisal Council to strictly adhere to the regulations in the review, appraisal, and recognition of Truc Chinh and Giao Thien communes as model new rural areas.

Local authorities continue to uphold a sense of responsibility, focusing on mobilizing resources to maintain and improve the quality of model new rural area criteria.

Departments, agencies, Truc Ninh and Giao Thuy districts, and the Provincial New Rural Development Coordination Office are focusing on completing the required documents to submit to the Provincial People's Committee for a decision recognizing the two communes as model new rural communes in 2023.
