250 Singaporean enterprises attend Khanh Hoa investment promotion conference

On the afternoon of May 28, in Singapore, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province organized the Khanh Hoa - Singapore Investment Promotion Conference 2025. Attending the conference were Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Secretary of the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee; Tran Phuoc Anh - Vietnamese Ambassador to Singapore; Lu Thanh Hai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Secretary of the Cam Ranh City Party Committee; Lennon Tan - Chairman of the Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF); leaders of agencies, departments, branches and more than 250 enterprises of the two countries.

According to the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province, based on the decision of the Central Government, Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan provinces will soon merge, the new Khanh Hoa province has a natural area of more than 8,555km² and the longest coastline in Vietnam; population size of about 2.2 million people. The merger of Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan creates a strong coastal economic zone with many outstanding development potentials. Khanh Hoa owns a deep-water seaport, international airport and developed tourism infrastructure; Ninh Thuan has advantages in renewable energy (wind power, solar power) and clean agriculture. This combination will create favorable conditions for comprehensive development of industry, logistics, tourism and energy, while increasing the ability to attract investment and expand the labor market, contributing to promoting sustainable development in the South Central region.

Speaking at the conference, Vietnamese Ambassador to Singapore Tran Phuoc Anh pledged: “Khanh Hoa is embarking on a transformation journey when merging with Ninh Thuan province. This strategic merger will create a new, larger Khanh Hoa province. Khanh Hoa has a deep-water seaport, an international airport and a well-developed tourism infrastructure, complemented by Ninh Thuan's advantages in renewable energy and clean agriculture . This combination brings great opportunities for businesses to invest in logistics, tourism, energy, aquaculture, industrial development and education. The Vietnamese Embassy in Singapore is always ready to support Singaporean businesses to learn about and invest in Khanh Hoa. Based on the assessment of the potential and strengths of each side, Khanh Hoa province proposed that Google cooperate with the province in a number of potential areas such as: Developing smart tourism, building a digital platform to support urban management and public services, training human resources in information technology, digital transformation in small and medium enterprises and promoting the province's image on Google's digital platforms; cooperation in areas such as artificial intelligence and technological solutions for smart urban management, environmental management and sustainable development.

In addition, the province also proposed that Google consider organizing a field survey in Khanh Hoa to learn about the potential for technology development, digital infrastructure and planned areas including: Global Intelligence Center in Cam Lam District, High-Tech Park in Nha Trang City, Information Technology Center in Van Phong Economic Zone.
