Hanoi FC shockingly lost to Dong Thap Club
Hanoi FC did not use Nguyen Hai Long and Pham Tuan Hai - the two Vietnamese players who scored in the second leg of the AFF Cup 2024 final. The central defenders Do Duy Manh and Nguyen Thanh Chung were also absent. Coach Le Duc Tuan only included Pham Xuan Manh in the reserve list and sent him on the field in the second half.
