Tree cutting case in the commune headquarters campus: Former Chairman of the Commune People's Committee did not follow the correct principles and procedures.

Mr. Nguyen Dang Chung, former Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Commune (old) was determined to have not followed the correct principles, order, and necessary procedures before cutting down trees in the premises of the commune's headquarters.

Leaders of Kong Bo La Commune Party Committee inspected trees in the old Dong Commune campus that were cut down.

Regarding the case of cutting down trees in the premises of Dong commune (old) - now the headquarters of the Party Committee of Kong Bo La commune, Gia Lai province, the Inspection Committee of Kong Bo La commune Party Committee has had inspection results.

According to the inspection results, through working with former officials of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the People's Committee of Dong Commune (old), it was found that before cutting the tree, the Standing Committee and the Standing Committee of the Commune did not hold a meeting to discuss and agree on the policy of cutting and selling the tree. Mr. Nguyen Dang Chung only sent messages to the Standing Committee's zalo group.

Regarding the process and procedures, Mr. Nguyen Dang Chung did not make a plan to cut and sell trees according to the process of liquidating construction assets approved by competent authorities; did not organize an auction according to regulations; did not have a confirmation or supervision record, so the exact volume of trees and firewood sold could not be determined.

In addition, documents and certificates showing the sale of trees and firewood to pay for agency repairs are incomplete and do not comply with regulations.

The Party Committee's Inspection Commission determined that Mr. Nguyen Dang Chung did not follow the correct principles, order, and necessary procedures before cutting down trees in the premises of the commune's headquarters. Mr. Nguyen Dang Chung admitted to having shortcomings in this action.

The Party Committee's Inspection Commission reported the results to the Standing Committee of the Kong Bo La Commune Party Committee to direct the next solution.

Previously, SGGP Newspaper reported that Kong Bo La commune was established on the basis of rearranging 3 communes: Nghia An, Kong Bo La and Dong. The headquarters of the Party Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Kong Bo La commune were located at the headquarters of Dong commune (old). However, on June 21 and 22 (before the time of rearranging the administrative unit), the People's Committee of Dong commune (old) cut down 17 trees in the campus to sell for firewood. After deducting the cost of cutting and transporting, the remaining amount of money from selling firewood was 9 million VND, which the commune used to repair the loose tile floor and repaint the office.
