Touching art program "Vietnamese-Lao students, proudly following the footsteps"

Affection, solidarity and meaning are the general feelings of the audience about the art program with the theme "Vietnamese-Lao students, proudly following the footsteps" taking place on the evening of September 20 at the Nui Ba Victory Monument, Cat Tien commune ( Gia Lai province).

This is a main activity of the Vietnam-Laos Student Cultural Festival 2025 organized by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Gia Lai province in coordination with the Youth Union organizations of universities and colleges in the province.

Nearly 300 Lao and Vietnamese students studying at universities and colleges in the province and youth union members of Cat Tien commune participated in the program.

Throughout the program, the heroic atmosphere and friendship of the two countries Vietnam and Laos were expressed through songs and dances imbued with the cultural identities of the two peoples.

The public enjoyed many special performances such as "Come to the Vietnamese people," "Inheriting the Lao Panpipe Heritage," "Continuing the story of peace ," "Happy Vegetarian Festival," "Bright Prosperity of Vietnam," "Vientiane Girl" ... performed by Lao and Vietnamese students.

Student Pham Dang Thuy Trang, Faculty of Education, Quy Nhon University, emotionally shared that Vietnam and Laos are two close neighbors, mountains next to mountains, rivers next to rivers, sharing the same majestic Truong Son range. Throughout history, the two nations have always stood side by side, fought together against common enemies, and shared the ups and downs. Many generations of fathers and brothers have sacrificed and devoted themselves to preserving and cultivating the special solidarity and friendship - a relationship that beloved President Ho Chi Minh once compared to "brighter than the full moon."

Today, when the two countries are working together to build and develop the country, the Vietnam-Laos friendship continues to be affirmed as a priceless asset, an important factor ensuring stability, cooperation and sustainable development of both peoples.

In that journey, the youth - the student generation today - have the responsibility to inherit and promote, turning noble values into concrete actions. We are living in an era full of opportunities but also many challenges.

International integration, digital transformation, and the 4.0 industrial revolution are posing new requirements for young people - to be knowledgeable, have strong character, be rich in skills, and especially know how to appreciate and preserve national cultural identity...

Today's meaningful art program has brought to all people, especially the youth, a valuable opportunity to learn and understand more about the country, people and traditions of Laos, thereby arousing the pride, sense of responsibility and desire to contribute of Vietnamese-Lao students.

True to the good spirit of "Helping each other" of the two nations, at the art program, the Organizing Committee presented 10 gifts to young people in difficult circumstances living in Cat Tien commune.

On the same day, the students visited, experienced and learned at some historical sites and scenic spots in Cat Tien commune such as: the church of patriot Nguyen Trung Truc, picnicked and organized games at Trung Luong beach picnic area, Ong Nui Pagoda... played friendly football with young people of Cat Tien commune./.
